Joy is an amazing state of bliss emanating from a stage of existence that is not necessarily or based on an occurrence.

Many times we mistake joy for happiness, while both seem like  2 peas in a pod, they are actually different.

Happiness is a result of happenings or based on happenstance 

While Joy is usually of a deeper root it stems from internal causes or reasons.

While Happiness might be a Journey, Joy is much more a choice.

While Happiness might be for a season, the fruits of Joy lasts longer regardless of the season, its seeds grow and bear fruits all year round.

Joy is a feeling of enthusiasm and awakening to all that is good and positive amplified by gratitude and deep awareness of it all.

I have also learnt that Joy is best amplified when shared in moments.

Today I stand in deep and profound gratitude here and now for the gift of Joy.
