MY NIGHT WALKS

It's a great day and for me, I have been blessed by God to be alive and to always want to live life more consciously. I am a member of different business and self-help teams that help me track this.
I woke up today -that was later in the evening about starting my day- or perhaps continue my day.
What i discovered was that , most people were actually retiring from their day when I was about starting mine, i got on to do and complete my over 100 push ups for the day, well,it was done later part of the day but it's still part of my fitness goals- precisely, i did 110 push ups in about 00:51:69 seconds and I took a long walk around the neighborhood while listening to some nice music- Micah Stampley's Heaven on Earth. I have so much, fallen in love with this song, for a couple of weeks now.
My walk around the neighborhood was probably under 25 minutes but I really love it, it affords me some moments of fresh air, and a great deal of thinking or reflection time.
So many thoughts ran through my head, different projects I am working on, my next 30-day blogging challenge beginning from today, my Goals, Career, Family, Spirituality, Business etc and the release of my new book, Travels etc.

Then I thought about the fact that not so many people at work or awake at night, since the night is really made for resting, Only God never sleeps and perhaps a few people
burdened with one thing or the other, perhaps this could be added as another #StandOut factor shared by one of my mentors; he shared some key ideas that could stand any one out in his field on his twitter time line. I believe good use of one's time and perhaps the night time, is another one in the pack,well i will share some tips from that very soon.

So I am back home and I have a long exciting time to catch up on some personal stuffs and to also see that I publish a blog post per day for the next 30 days. Welcome to my next 30-day blogging challenge!

MY TOASTMASTER JOURNEY

It's  a great day! Another wonderful day and I am indeed grateful to God. Amidst all activities around  the end of the year, I have still not given up on my goals, I still continue to work to change what can be changed at the moment .
One of the main projects on my mind around this time apart from my new book project is my Toastmasters membership. Toastmasters, I will  describe as a personal development club. It's an international organization that helps members develop their speaking and leadership skills. Toastmasters is  in well over 162 countries with the international world headquarters located in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. See more info at www.toastmasters.org
So last  November, after months of being a guest , I eventually formalised my membership by undertaking necessary registration and getting set to begin my journey .
Every toastmaster's journey begins with an icebreaker- an introductory speech and mine starts as I currently look forward to breaking the ice  at Merit Toastmasters Ikeja, later today in the last meeting of the year.

Every journey begins with a step in the right direction. If we keep moving and never stop taking steps- in the right direction we can eventually have an option to go at full speed; and if we do not stop or falter we will surely get there!

MONDAY DIARY: RESTING

It’s a wonderful Monday morning, few hours before mid-day, I am off from work and so I decided to rest today from the previously busy week –busy but exciting , I am grateful to God.
I discover it takes extra work to bring myself to rest. I am by nature calm but full of energy, agility, a sense of adventure to see things and explore.

The plan was to rest. But then I was moving around the house seeing if everything was in order, no thanks to PHCN (Power holding Company of Nigeria) I could have been watching TV or still be hitting away at the keys of my Laptop. But all gadgets powered off with only a phone with only voice calls capability. So I decided to just chill in the garden and enjoy the cool breeze and the wonderful shade of green. I love nicely kept gardens with flowers, the sight and sound of waterfalls.

And as I just lay there on the lawn I enjoyed every bit of it. This is real rest. I listened to the voice of silence constantly being intruded by noise of all forms from far and near. The continuous hammering of nails by the distant carpenter, who never stops nailing who-knows-what. Sounds of passing auto mobile, some distant sounds of a generator struggling to work for its owner.
So I thought about writing a new article on health, since I couldn’t finish up the one on my mobile device. So with my favourite Shang hang ® fountain pen, I started wetting the innocent white page again with black ink- I haven’t ‘written ‘ an article this way in a long while- Thank God for mobile phones, Laptops and perhaps sooner still probably a Tablet or Phablet.
So Laying on the lawn I discovered made me more appreciative of nature. I noticed a miniature ecosystem at this level. The life of insects finding their way across the grass, colourful millipedes climbing a grass stalk ,then the blossoming apple trees dotted by the young pink fruits and above all the cool breeze with the gently sunshine smiling gently out of the plain skies, and of course the rustling sounds of leaves on nearby trees dancing with the wind.

I always love to watch my pen dance again on the blank white field. I will probably end this by completing a Spiritual/Gospel  book I was reading or read an entirely new romance novel or I  better still just close my eyes and imagine myself to be on vacation on an exotic beach in Miami, Florida or that I am relaxing on some lush green grass on some islands in Seychelles or better still I am having a great time in Cancun – Mexico or at the Bahamas.
Whatever It is, I am at rest.
