WHAT DID YOU LEARN IN CHURCH TODAY?

When I began to awake to the consciousness of going to church as a child, for some part of that time growing up with my grandparents in Ibadan, Oyo state in Nigeria.

My grandma would ask me “what did you learn in church today?" every Sunday.

I enjoyed the Sunday service majorly because I had been spending most of the time running around the church block with some other kids then.

So each time my grandma asked this question, I had a default answer that never changed every Sunday.... Children ehn!

Every Sunday I had my default answer

In Yoruba "...won ko wa k'ama p'aro, k'ama j'ale" :)

Meaning...
“Church was great today, they taught us not to steal and not to tell lies"

Of course, that changed after I learnt to read, and had more Bible understanding...

Today was a great day in Church

It was a Young Adult Sunday and an array of programs including songs, word and drama sessions.

We bless God for taking all the glory.

The theme was "Excelling in God's Time table..." and my take away were:

* God is a God of time and Season, He created time and does everything for a reason in a season

* God has His time-table and agenda

* His Plans for us are great plans

* Do not run ahead of God

* God's Spirit through the Word of God will give you access into His sense of time and purpose for you.

SUPER SUNDAY: GOD'S STANDARD

It was a lovely day in church today. I am always excited when I am privileged to be in God’s presence. I believe, God’s presence is the best place to be on the earth, the amazing thing is, He is Omnipresent, hence, I  join church online a lot while away to answer my job duty calls on some Sundays, however there are great blessings  and benefits when we fellowship in Church with other believers. I was in church today and it was glorious…

I hope you learn or are blessed from my message note today...

Theme: A table in the Wilderness Psalm78:17-29, John, 
Bible reading : 2Timothy. 2:19, Ephesians 3:13 and 14.
Teaching weekend:  Measuring to the stature of the fullness of Christ..

My message note Message:
Preacher: Pastor Akinyemi.. 
Topic:God has a standard and it takes grace to measure up to that standard. 
Matthew 5:48,
Our God can not compromise His standard,  Malachi 3:6,2Tim 2:19.
1. Standard of Holiness. Lev 19:2, 2Tim2:21. We must measure up to his standard of holiness 
2. Standard of love..God's  nature is love,He already loves us. 1John4:8,  Matt 5:44, Love can be shown by praying for others
3.Standard of faith. Hebrews11:3, Faith in Him is key to our exploits here on earth. 
4. Standard of Obedience: Isaiah 45:11,
5. Standard of hardwork.. our God isn't lazy,  he worked for 6 days, did 6 nights to build the world and rested on the 7th day.God has promised greatness to only the hard working.. we must be hardworking in career, secular business and spiritual  things.. word, prayers and evangelism.  Prov22:29.
Those who fell below God's standards. 
1. Adam and Eve. Lost the first estate_Eden
2.Moses. a little compromise 
3.Samson lost it to sinful pleasure Delilah
4. Saul
5.Eli failed in his parenting responsibility and lost the priestly heritage
6.Judas. betrayed Christ
People who stayed true to the Standard. 
1. Ruth. 
2. Daniel and his friends. Dan.1:20,
3.Samuel he walked in his prophetic calling and led a nation
How to measure to His standard 
1.purge yourself 2Cor 7:1
2. We need to evangelise more 2Tim2:1
3.  We need to be More compassionate John14:12.
4.Jesus should be our standard. 
God will spare no man who goes against his standard.

There is a void in everyone, people try to fill it with different things friends, more toys, food or drugs…

We are made so, we are all created this way to seek a higher form, a higher level of consciousness…this is the void which nothing can fill no matter what…only God can satisfy  this craving. Only God can fill this void. We enter into a new reality when we turn to God by accepting the Lord Jesus as our personal Lord and savior.

SPIRITUALITY POST: WEALTH TRANSFER

WEALTH TRANSFER
Memorise: A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. Proverbs 13:22
Read: Proverbs 13:21-22, 21 Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.

Bible in one year: Numbers 26-27, 2nd Corinthians 13
MESSAGE
Because God owns everything on earth, He can give a person power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18). Not only does He give power to get wealth, He also transfers wealth from one person to another. God can transfers wealth from the enemies His children, to those who will serve Him. He can equally transfer wealth from His children whom He has blessed, who refuse to utilise their blessings for His purpose, to those believers who will use it to glorify Him. If you are stingy, you are not like your Heavenly Father. When I was young, there was a man I knew who was extremely wealthy but extremely miserly. He was so stingy that he could not even trust his wife with housekeeping allowance. When she wanted to go to the market, he would go with her. After she bargained for meat, he would pay. When she had prepared the soup or stew, he would take a portion for himself and keep it in his bedroom. Whenever he wanted to eat, they would have to come and take the pot of soup or stew from him, and while it was being warmed up, he would stand by and watch. He never took his money to the bank. He had one huge room where his money was kept. By the time he died, his children searched everywhere for the key to that room, bit they could not find it, then the eldest son reasoned that since their father was so miserly, it was possible that he went as far as swallowing the key, so he suggested they turn his corpse upside down and hit his back. As they did so, the key dropped.

God looking for those who will serve Him with whatever He gives to them. God is looking for those who will not give any excuse when the Owner of their wealth needs it for His purpose. Can He entrust you with more of His resources? How have you been giving to the work of God? To what extent have you been cooperating with the King of kings? If you have been blessed, but you cannot spend freely for the kingdom, do remember that the same way God brought the money in, He can take it out. May you not lose your wealth to others in Jesus’ Name. Do everything possible to justify why you should remain a custodian to God’s blessings.
Key Point
When you faithfully cooperate with God in meeting the needs of His kingdom, He will enlarge your capacity, and make you a greater treasurer of His resources.

Under Pressure? Plant!

Under Pressure? Plant!
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
– Galatians 6:7

If you feel like you’re under pressure these days, you’re not alone. Satan is putting more pressure on more people right now than ever before. He’s pressuring us mentally, financially, emotionally and every other way he can. The pressure has gotten so great everywhere that governments don’t know what to do. Businesses don’t know what to do. Families don’t know. Churches don’t know.
But praise God, Jesus does! He says we can give our way right out from under any pressure the devil brings to bear.
Giving is always Jesus’ way out. Whenever there’s a need, He plants seed! In fact, in Mark 4, He compares the entire kingdom of God to a seed. Just think about the importance of seeds for a moment. Every living thing on this earth came from a seed. You came from a seed. Then you were born again from the seed of God’s Word. Jesus Himself was The Seed planted by God. God sowed Him in sacrifice. He came forth and grew up into many brethren.
So, when Satan puts you under pressure, go to Jesus and let Him tell you how and where to plant. If you’ll do it, that seed will grow up until it breaks the powers of darkness and lack. It will release you from the pressure the devil’s been putting on you.
I’ve seen it happen. When Jerry Savelle first began to work for my ministry, he didn’t have but one suit of clothes and one shirt with a pair of slacks to his name. He wore one, then the other, night after night to every service we held. He didn’t have the money to even think about buying another suit. I’m telling you, he was under pressure where clothes were concerned!
Then he found out about the principle of seed-faith and harvest. So, he went downtown in the city where we were in a meeting and found a fellow on the street who needed clothes and gave him some. Immediately people started giving Jerry clothes. It started in that meeting and they’ve been doing it ever since. Today, there are many preachers in Africa wearing Jerry Savelle suits! (Even if the sleeves and pant legs are way too short!) He’s still sowing and reaping the greatest clothes harvest I’ve ever seen.
If the devil’s pressuring you, don’t panic…plant! Plant your time. Plant your money. Plant the clothes off your back. When your harvest comes in, you can laugh and say, “Hey, Devil, who’s feeling the pressure now?”

SPIRITUALITY POST: Extend Forgiveness by Joel Osteen

Today’s Scripture

“Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do...”
(Luke 23:34, KJV)

When you’ve been hurt or offended, sometimes it’s tempting to hold on to unforgiveness. But we have to remember, when people wrong us, our battle is not against flesh and blood. In other words, that person who hurt you is not the real enemy. The Bible says that your adversary is the devil, and he knows that if you don’t forgive, then your prayers won’t be effective. Unforgiveness puts up a barrier in your life to the power of God. In fact, if we don’t forgive others, we can’t be forgiven by God. But when you choose forgiveness, you open the door for God’s healing power to flow through your life.

Disarm the enemy in your life today by choosing forgiveness. Bless those who curse you and pray for those who wrong you. Look at what Jesus did—when He was betrayed, beaten, mocked and disrespected, He chose forgiveness. As you follow His example, you will open the door for God to move in your life, and you’ll live in victory in every area of your life!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for forgiving me and giving me new life. I choose today to extend the gift of forgiveness to others. I bless those who have wronged me and ask You to heal every broken place in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
