The paradox of our time in history is that:
We have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

DEMOCRACY DAY WISHES FOR NIGERIA

It's a great day !

It is the Democracy day in Nigeria.In the light of the recent occurrences, I do not see it as a day to roll-out the drums and celebrate. While it's good to stay positive and grateful,I believe it's a perfect time to realize the objective of rescuing the Chibok girls. These were the girls kidnapped by some terrorist sect weeks ago. The #BringBackourgirls campaign is no more news. I am personally supporting the campaign on my twitter handle - @emmandus.

However, I still want to wish every Nigerian a happy Democracy day. I wish every Nigerian hope for the present time and the future. I wish the parents of the Chibok girls more strength in trying times like these.(How can the mothers of the Chibok girls be happy?)
I wish our Leaders wisdom and the courage to the right thing....

I wish every ill-meaning person a change of heart or perhaps a paradigm shift....

My words are few...

I wish us all....HOPE

SPIRITUALITY : THE 5 LEVELS OF GRACE

MANIFESTATION OF GRACE

Text: Exodus 1:8,11,12, John 14:27

Egypt is symbolic of the world and Israel that of the Kingdom of God. God was training the Isrealites how to recognize the blessings and how also to behave when the blessings come. Grace isn’t without affliction but the capacity to survive the afflictions. GRACE is needed both to survive afflictions and and to also receive the blessing. You need Grace in time of crisis and so you must develop and grow across the different levels of grace.

The 5 Levels of Grace

1. Grace at Conversion: Ephesians 2:8

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

This is the first level of Grace. The grace we received at Conversion.- When we got born again. but we need to grow in grace.

2. Sufficient Level of Grace: 2 Corinthians 12:9
2 Corinthians 12:9
New King James Version (NKJV)

9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

As we grow in the Lord. He is interested in us growing from infanthood to adulthood. So we have here sufficient grace because at this level we are exposed to more responsibilities for our spiritual growth and maturity.

3. GREAT GRACE : Great Grace: Acts 4:33

And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.

This is a level at which God begins to do the miracuous through you. A realm of exploits in life and ministry. This level of Grace attracts many things to you that money cannot buy. Some things about grace are best experienced than thought.

4. ABUNDANT GRACE: 2Corinthians 4 verse 15

For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

After the first three levels, you come to a point or level of Abundant Grace. Here, you experience favour an peace no matter what. Certain levels of breakthrough never happen until this level.

5. ALL GRACE. 2 Corinthians 9 verse 8

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

This is the realm of sufficiency in all things. This is where you begin to function like Isaac in Genesis 26:3

NOTE!!!
However the entry point into the first and then various levels of Grace is a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. ( YOU might want to pray the sinner's /new birth prayer I shared below)

SINNER’S PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I believe you died in the cross for my sins and rose again the third day. Forgive my many sins wash away my wrong doings with your blood. Come into the my heart and become my Lord and Saviour of my life. Thank you for saving me and filling me with your wonderful Holy Spirit. In Jesus name I pray AMEN!

MONEY TALK
I have decided to break the ice and speak (or, write, rather) about the subject of money. Based on feed backs and different comments I have received recently, so this week I will do a series around that. Today I will talk on some ground topics or make a foundation for our discussion. I am not yet the 'guru' on the subject of money,Yeah I am still on my journey to financial freedom, however as a student of wealth creation through the school of involvement I have some invaluable tips to share.

MONEY 101!
What is Money?
It is that basic, we all live our lives around money and I believe 90 if not 100% of our lives revolve around money but our educational institutions most times did little or nothing to prepare us for this. We should therefore first ponder on how much of the concept of money we understand.I will make some bold attempts to explain some basic concepts.

To start with, Money is a medium of Exchange: In a value system you exchange money for a service or product of value. That is why at the back of a dollar bill you will find a line of information ' This note is legal tender'. Money is any document that has legal backing as a legal tender in a value system.So simply put money is anything you can exchange for value.

Money is an idea
I also believe the concept of Money as an idea, as opined by Robert Kiyosaki. This means money is really an idea, it evolves from and is really an idea. The concept of money is an idea that defines the reward system for certain value and thus becomes a standard in a specific community, society or in a given economy. I believe these two explanation will suffice for a good definition of money outside an Economics class.

Two types of income
There are majorly two types of income or earnings i.e passive and active income..
Passive income is money you do not work for usually with your time,energy or physical efforts to receive it. It is money you earn whether you work or not.
Active income: Active income is the money you have to show up to earn,To earn this kind of income you will be actively engaged or involved . You have to spend your time or energy to earn an active income.
These I believe will set the new pace for our next discussion on Ways of Making money.

IT'S A GREAT DAY!

It's a great day! I Know it! I  heard this one-liner, power sentence at a couple of seminars or speaking events, after which I adopted it and chose to use it as an opener for every of my speaking engagements because of how inspiring or motivating it can be.

I am a student of success and positive living, and I am well into an aspect of self help techniques and personal development. I believe our attitudes go well ahead to affect a large aspect of our lives. The common saying 'Attitude determines Altitude' is a well-based and true saying! This and more reasons I will give in this write-up are the reasons I have chosen to believe it's always a great,

1. It's a great day because we are alive. The fact that we are living souls today is good enough reason that today is a great day. No matter your situations, no matter the circumstances surrounding you being alive means you own the day, it's your day and because there is greatness in you, It can never be less than a great day! Step into it there is hope for you again today to become all you have ever dreamed of. It's a bright and wonderful day!

2. It's a Language of Gratitude. Recently I have read many things on gratitude. The last book I read by Brian Tracy has a strong section on gratitude, the best-selling author opined that one of the highest form of habit you can develop is having the attitude of gratitude. Whatever you do not appreciate will always depreciate, When you appreciate God for your day it can never go wrong.Never miss an opportunity to appreciate the gift of a wonderful day. It's a great day!

3. It's a Powerful Affirmation: Affirmations are powerful confessions or self talk. It's a way of speaking positively into your day. Words are seeds and the kinds of words you sow into your day affects your attitude and the returns on your efforts in the whole day.

4.It's a magical sentence of an optimist: Never mind if I called a simple sentence magical, but sincerely I have probably seen this sentence give people a boost of hope and positive outlook on any situation. I was recently a facilitator at a technical event and interestingly I had make my first slide the illustration of the sentence "IT'S A GREAT DAY!" It was an image of an enthusiastic lady against a white background. Funnily I hadn't gone midway into the whole presentation when the projector system provided started having some issues. We eventually used less of the slides and more of the magnetic board for the rest of the training and above all we had a great time. One underlining lesson we all learnt aside every other thing was that no matter what, It's still a great day.

5. It's a Recipe for a great life: I always believe our lives are measured in bundles of time. This is obviously shown in the fact that hours roll into days, which in turn roll into weeks; months and years in the long run. So the secret to living a great life is to start having a great day; And to have a great day create great moments throughout your day. Great moments; are a prerequisite to a great life.
Whatever you do and wherever you go, remember no matter what happens, It's always a great day!
