SHINE IN PROSPERITY

While it is true that the Lord expects us to shine in the areas of our character and soul-winning, He also expects us to shine in the area of prosperity. No wonder He gave us great promises on prosperity such as these found in Deuteronomy 28:12:
“The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.”
Poverty is one of the repercussions of sin; hence there is so much poverty across the globe. God is not happy with the level of poverty in the world, this is why He has chosen to make His children prosper and set them as lights that will wipe out the darkness of poverty from nations (Psalm 35:27). If you have been blessed by God but have not yet reached the level where you can lend to nations; it shows that you have not yet arrived at the level of prosperity God is taking you to. Because of your current lowly situation, you may find it hard to believe that God can truly increase you to this level, but the truth about God’s integrity is that if He has promised to do it, He will definitely keep His promise, provided you do your part.

Concerning where God is taking you to, you would be wise to always remember that your present situation does not matter. God’s destination for you is quite different from where you are now. Your present location cannot stop God from taking you to the destination He has for you. He is the God who can relocate a beggar from the dunghill to sit with princes and nobles (1 Samuel 2:8). David was just a shepherd boy attending to his father’s little flock, but when God decided to move him into greatness, his humble circumstances did not stop God. The young shepherd boy became king according to God’s promise (2 Samuel 7:8). God did the same for Joseph. Joseph had a dream, but he also had very determined dream-killers as brothers. They sold him into slavery, and at a point, he was a prisoner. In spite of all these, he rose from prison to become prime minister of Egypt (Psalm 105:17-22). You too are destined to be great! Your present challenges or limitations cannot stop you from becoming what God has ordained you to be. You shall be great! Nothing will stop you. No one can stop you. It is well with your tomorrow.

THE TABLE OF CELEBRATION
It’s a great day and a wonderful Sunday. I hope we all had a great Sunday service. As it’s usual to have a post on spirituality post every Sunday, today I will by God’s grace share the Word. The topic above, Table of Celebration was a word i received in my spirit while going to the Church this morning. It was so strong and it kept echoing all through the service.
I began to meditate and pray about clarity on this topic to be shared today.
Let’s look straight to the scriptures -the Bible, God’s Holy Word;

Psalm 23: 5.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows.

The table of celebration means there is celebration galore; it is not a one- time bout of celebration, but rather a momentous and continuous one. It is a table, it is established, when God sets a table of celebration for you, it is ‘Just There !’, no one or nothing can take it away.
However it is good to look at the nature of this table in the light of the scripture above.
This table is ‘prepared’ : God has a package with your name on it. It is not an accidental event, it is not a fluke, God has a deliberate agenda for your empowerment, all -round blessing and manifestation. God has deliberately prepared a table for you, you might not see it now, but he is preparing it and when He is done, it is fully laid out, it will make sense after all, because He has prepared it for YOU.
This table is first of all in God’s presence: The table is in God’s presence and because you are in His presence, you are made perfect, made whole and strengthened.
My Bible says in

Psam 16:11
You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

It is a celebration table with an atmosphere of joy all around, can you see it! Do you believe and receive it now? God is a cheerful Dad, that love to see His children have lots of good things and enjoy life to the fullest.
This table is obviously in the presence of your enemies!: This means you are untouchable, this also connotes astounding protection and victory, your enemies, haters , doubters or critics or whoever they are can’t do nothing but be marvelled by how much God has come to help you. Also, I see ministry of angels on this note, they are assigned for your protection even at this table.
He anoints my head with oil: This table of celebration is the place of empowerment; the anointing is a seal of authority, empowerment for leadership, and everything will be determined by leadership, this comes with rising influence or authority- that means you are in charge. This is because God has taken charge and you now know what to do, you run with His will and then you are in charge, because you now represent God!

My Cup Overflows: This is celebration table prepared by God for YOU, and sure enough for your friends as well, because your enemies are there powerless and confounded, so your friends won’t do nothing but join the feast! Can you imagine what it looks like? If you have ever sat at a dinner table of a wealthy King, or Head of State, you know it would be filled with bounties and varieties, so this is no exception; it surpasses all you can imagine. The table of celebration ushers in a new season, your season of plenty and abundance, with your cup overflowing with oil. Your cup is your vessel, what you carry, and can receive with; this is an overflowing blessing beyond what can ever carry. Another thing here is that the size of your cup determines the relative level of your overflow...
What are the characteristics and prerequisite for this table of celebration...? We will check them subsequently...

You Hold the Keys

I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them.... they are fallen under my feet.

– Psalm 18:37-38

If you've been standing around wringing your hands and worrying about what the devil is doing, it's time you made a switch. It's time you put that devil under your feet!

Jesus has already given you all the power and authority you need to do it. He's given you the keys of the kingdom. He's promised you that whatever you declare locked on earth is locked in heaven and whatever you declare unlocked on earth is unlocked in the heavenlies (Matthew 16:19). That means you can speak the Word and bind wicked spirits. You can speak the Word and loose the angelic forces of God to work in your behalf.

What's more, you've been given the power of attorney that enables you to use the mighty Name of Jesus. A Name that's above every other name. A Name which will cause every knee to bow—in heaven, in earth, and under the earth (Philippians 2:9-10)!

So, don't waste time worrying about the devil. Take authority over him. Bind the evil spirits that try to destroy your home, your church and your nation. Loose God's Word in the earth and enforce it with the Name of Jesus.

You hold the keys. Learn to use them and before long the devil will be wringing his hands worrying about you!

GRATEFUL FOR A TRIUMPH

TRIUMPH:
noun (plural triumphs)
A conclusive success following an effort, conflict, or confrontation of obstacles; victory; conquest.

From the very definition of triumph or victory, we can clearly see that triumph does not come without a measure of effort or obstacles. No battles fought; no victory won. Today I am grateful for triumph, being thankful for a triumph is an arduous task because as a young person, I have a thousand and one triumphs I will forever be thankful for.

I will run with these while sharing a couple of stories.

From the spirituality perspective, I thank God for triumph over lack,sin and sickness! And a new ticket to health, wealth, holiness and purposeful living. This comes through a personal relationship with God through His son Jesus Christ.

I am grateful for the Triumph of Good over evil everyday. No matter how deep the evil cloud of darkness, there will be silver lining and in short moments the sun will shine and darkness will give way to light.

Many years ago I set out to share my writings online and from the newspaper, about this time I began to learn more about intrepreneurship (ways of doing business and making money online), however, I never did make any of the money until sometimes last year when I received my first cheques from Google. The cheque might not be a million bucks, however, It is a taste of triumph.

A similar instance to this was my first earning in Network Marketing, prior to this time I had joined a network marketing business as an undergraduate, but I never had a taste of rewards and at some point I couldn't seem to connect the dots between my field of study- Electrical& Electronics Engineering with the product lines- vitamins etc. , so I quitted about6 months after joining. However, about a year ago after careful research, I joined the Network Marketing Company I am with now A2W , and I have discovered a vast variety of exciting products, I have also met a highly motivated team of people and I continue to have a taste of reward as I build a viable team on our way to being becoming financially intelligent and financially free.

These and many more are instances of triumphs for which I am ever grateful.

Don’t Be Limited By a Lack of Faith A woman shopping in Houston happily hummed a tune as she collected the items she wished to purchase and approached the cashier. The clerk just stared at her for a long moment, as though wondering what was wrong with her, offering an obligatory, “How are you doing today?” That’s all it took. The woman nearly bubbled over. “How nice of you to ask! I’m doing great. I am so blessed!” The clerk looked at the woman quizzically for a moment and then said, “Let me ask you a question. Do you go to Lakewood Church?” “Why, yes I do. How did you guess?” The clerk shook her head and smiled, “I should have known. Everybody that comes in here like you is from Lakewood.” What a great compliment! That’s the way it should be. God’s people should be the happiest people on earth. So happy, in fact, that other people notice. Why? Because we not only have a fabulous future, we can enjoy life today! Living your best life now means being excited about the life God has given you. It means believing for more good things in the days ahead, while living in the moment and enjoying it to the hilt. Too often, we get comfortable with where we are in life and use that as an excuse to remain in mediocrity. “My parents were poor,” we say with a pout. “Before them, my grandparents were poor. Nobody in my family has ever amounted to much, so I guess I won’t either.” Don’t believe that lie. My dad came from the poorest of families. His parents were cotton farmers, and they lost everything in the Great Depression. My grandmother worked 14 to 15 hours a day washing people’s clothes, earning 10 cents an hour. They were good people, but nobody in our family line had ever amounted to much, living instead under a curse of poverty and defeat. Then one day, at age 17, my dad committed his life to Christ, and God put a dream in his heart to preach. Certainly, the odds were against him. But God is not limited by our environment, family background or present circumstances. God is limited only by our lack of faith. I’m so thankful that Daddy didn’t listen to all the naysayers. He believed that God had more in store for him than staying home and picking cotton. And because he stayed focused on his dream and was willing to step out in faith, he broke that curse of poverty. Now, my siblings and I, and our children, grandchildren, even our great-grandchildren, are all going to experience more of the goodness of God. Let me challenge you to believe for more. Don’t travel the road for the next 50 years and be at the same place you’re at today. Maybe you came from a family like my dad’s, where they didn’t have much. Perhaps you hail from a long line of divorce, failure, depression or mediocrity. You need to say, “Enough is enough. I’m going to start believing God for bigger and better things.” That was the attitude of Phyllis, one of our members at Lakewood. When Phyllis was 16 years old, she got pregnant and had to leave high school. Her dreams were shattered. She rented a cramped, small apartment in which to live and raise her son, eventually going on welfare. But finally Phyllis said, “I refuse to pass this lifestyle down to my children. I’m going to be the person God wants me to be.” She got rid of all thoughts of defeat and failure and started expecting the supernatural favor of God. She did her part, and God did His. Phyllis got a job at a school cafeteria collecting kids’ meal tickets. The job paid minimum wage, and Phyllis was thankful for it. But she wasn’t satisfied, believing that God had better things in store. She went back to school for her high-school diploma. But still, she wasn’t satisfied. So, after working all day, she began attending college at night. In four years, she graduated with honors, then returned for her master’s degree. Today, Phyllis is reaping the rewards of that effort. She’s not on welfare anymore; she is a principal in that same school district where she used to collect the meal tickets. She, too, broke the curse of poverty in her family. You can do something similar. Dream bigger dreams. God wants to do more than you can even ask or think. Start living your best life now! “Yes, but Joel, it’s been a rough year. I’ve gone through so many disappointments. I’ve lost a lot of good things.” Maybe so, but have you considered this: If it were not for the goodness of God, you might have lost it all. Why not be grateful for what you have? Quit looking at what’s wrong and start thanking God for what’s right. Get up each day expecting God’s favor. This could be the day you get your miracle. The day you meet the person of your dreams. The day your child returns home. That’s how you stay enthusiastic, even in tough time: You stay filled with hope. “What if I do all that and nothing happens?” I hear you saying. “I’ll go to bed all discouraged, another disappointment.” No, you can go to bed saying, God, even though it didn’t happen today, I’m still believing for good things in my life, knowing that I’m one day closer to a breakthrough. Friend, no matter what you’ve been through, no matter whose fault it was, no matter how impossible your situation may look, the good news is that God wants to turn it around and restore what has been stolen from you. Most of all, He wants to restore your relationship with Him. God doesn’t want you simply to feel a little better for a few days. No, God is in the long-term restoration business. He doesn’t want you simply to survive that marriage. He wants to turn it around and restore to you a strong, healthy relationship. God doesn’t want your business to merely make it through the murky economic waters. He wants your business to excel! Start expecting things to change in your favor. It’s your faith that activates the power of God. Remember, if you obey God and are willing to trust Him, you will have the best this life has to offer — and more. You can start living your best life now.
