My Evolving Journey on Personal and Financial Mastery

My conversations around making and managing money evolved from an early age.

Having helped out at the family store from age 10, I went from helping with cold water sales at the store after school hours to managing sales and Snooker or pool table at our games arcade around age 13.

To complement the monthly allowance from my parents I moved on to starting my own business at 19 as an undergraduate from selling electrical equipment (multimeters) to my course mates to repairing mobile phones, founding an investor club with my best friend and organizing our first stock market seminar while on campus.

Being fascinated by financial success stories and possibilities from a young age, I grew up with the desire to become financially free and live above limits in all respect.

This journey for personal and financial mastery has led me to work for different companies and tried a couple of side businesses while learning new skills, attending many seminars, workshops, trainings, connecting with mentors and also reading hundreds of books on Personal Development and Personal finance on my journey to financial freedom.

Today, I help individuals who are ready to embark on their journey to financial freedom by increasing their financial intelligence with processes and strategies that will increase their financial intelligence by growing their knowledge, skills, discovering and unleashing hidden talents, installing new habits and applying proven ideas and strategies that help them achieve personal mastery and fast-track their journey to financial freedom.

Money doesn't sleep. We have all been lied to that we must work for it. However, if it must work for us it needs to work very hard for us.

What you don't know can hurt you but what you know can make a huge difference;much more, what you know and take action about can change your life forever.

There are truths, principles which the rich and successful know and act upon, that the poor and middle class do not know and will never act on at all.

The poor usually is Passing Over Opportunities Repeatedly!

You are not totally free until you are financially free. The rich and successful have been able to find a way to make money even in their sleep by building systems...

In a recession the amount of money doesn't disappear in the economy, whereas it changes different hands.

So the first lesson in this series is to raise our money consciousness by setting our minds on abundance rather than on scarcity. Possibility rather than impossibility.

There is money, lots of money moving around, changing hands even when with do not see it with our physical eyes, it is there it exists everywhere.. on the streets..in the air.

We must see it with our minds before it enters into our hands.

I hope to share a few ideas in the coming days that will be helpful to many people.

1.Money Mastery isn’t taught in Schools.
No traditional school teaches you about money with regards to Wealth creation, Wealth Multiplication and Wealth management. This is why you need to take concerted effort at investing in your own financial Education.
Financial Intelligence is the key to the vehicle of financial Independence. You raise your earnings by raising your learning with regards to Financial Education.

2.Money Answers to Action
It’s not what you know about money, but what you do with what you know that really matter on your way to hitting it big!
Wake up and see for yourself how much your knowledge has helped you, until you have taken necessary action in certain direction.
You have to do something about your money situation other than worrying to really make any significant headway.

3.Money has got no emotions
You see, money doesn’t respect age, the market place doesn’t care who you are or how old you are. That is why you have teen millionaires and as well as old millionaires, the same is true for the young and old broke people. Money doesn’t come to you by crying about it, this is why you see great investors get over their emotions while investing. The two emotions you will usually need to get past when it comes to money are the emotions of greed and fear.

4. Money Answers to Value
The iron filings will always flow in the direction of pull of the magnetic force. Simply also, money also answers in the direction of value, no matter who provides the value. Money is always a measure of value. Your value addition either solves a problem or creates a solution. If you want more money then learn to add more value by becoming a person of value.

5. Personal Mastery is Vital to Money Mastery
I am always of the belief that Personal Mastery is a prerequisite to money mastery. By developing yourself to a point of excellence especially in line with your financial goals, you become someone who adds value and in turn attracts money and even more money to yourself.


6. Money Mastery is raising your consciousness about money
To gain mastery of money you need to raise your consciousness or financial IQ, especially creasing your knowledge about generating, creating, multiplication, and managing of money. I always believe that what you don’t know can hurt you, but what you know and act on, can change your life in more ways than one, this is why you must invest in your own financial education. You might need to start reading books on investing, pay attention to business news, personal finance blogs or magazines, joining investment groups and so forth.

7. Money is not scarce
There is no scarcity of money. As a matter of fact, there is no justification whatsoever to prove the scarcity of money, instead, there is abundance. You will see that we have enough money to move around in the world. Money exists in abundance, but it only flows to people who understand certain laws regarding how it’s acquired. The earlier you start seeing things from this perspective, the better.

First, understand that you no longer want to be just a millionaire. You want to become a multimillionaire.

While you may think a million dollars will give you financial security, it will not. Given the volatility in economies, governments and financial markets around the world, it's no longer safe to assume a million dollars will provide you and your family with true security. In fact, a Fidelity Investments' study of millionaires last year found that 42 percent of them don't feel wealthy and they would need $7.5 million of investable assets to start feeling rich.

This isn't a how-to on the accumulation of wealth from a lifetime of saving and pinching pennies. This is about generating multimillion-dollar wealth and enjoying it during the creation process. To get started, consider these seven secrets of multimillionaires.

No. 1: Decide to Be a Multimillionaire -- You first have to decide you want to be a self-made millionaire. I went from nothing—no money, just ideas and a lot of hard work—to create a net worth that probably cannot be destroyed in my lifetime. The first step was making a decision and setting a target. Every day for years, I wrote down this statement: "I am worth over $100,000,000!"

No. 2: Get Rid of Poverty Thinking -- There's no shortage of money on planet Earth, only a shortage of people who think correctly about it. To become a millionaire from scratch, you must end the poverty thinking. I know because I had to. I was raised by a single mother who did everything possible to put three boys through school and make ends meets. Many of the lessons she taught me encouraged a sense of scarcity and fear: "Eat all your food; there are people starving," "Don't waste anything," "Money doesn't grow on trees." Real wealth and abundance aren't created from such thinking. 

No. 3: Treat it Like a Duty -- Self-made multimillionaires are motivated not just by money, but by a need for the marketplace to validate their contributions. While I have always wanted wealth, I was driven more by my need to contribute consistent with my potential. Multimillionaires don't lower their targets when things get tough. Rather, they raise expectations for themselves because they see the difference they can make with their families, company, community and charities. 

No. 4: Surround Yourself with Multimillionaires -- I have been studying wealthy people since I was 10 years old. I read their stories and see what they went through. These are my mentors and teachers who inspire me. You can't learn how to make moneyfrom someone who doesn't have much. Who says, "Money won't make you happy"? People without money. Who says, "All rich people are greedy"? People who aren't rich. Wealthy people don't talk like that. You need to know what people are doing to create wealth and follow their example: What do they read? How do they invest? What drives them? How do they stay motivated and excited? 

No. 5: Work Like a Millionaire -- Rich people treat time differently. They buy it, while poor people sell it. The wealthy know time is more valuable than money itself, so they hire people for things they're not good at or aren't a productive use of their time, such as household chores. But don't kid yourself that those who hit it big don't work hard. Financially successful people are consumed by their hunt for success and work to the point that they feel they are winning and not just working. 

No. 6: Shift Focus from Spending to Investing -- The rich don't spend money; they invest. They know the U.S. tax laws favor investing over spending. You buy a house and can't write it off. The rich, in contrast, buy an apartment building that produces cash flow, appreciates and offers write-offs year after year. You buy cars for comfort and style. The rich buy cars for their company that are deductible because they are used to produce revenue.

No. 7: Create Multiple Flows of Income -- The really rich never depend on one flow of income but instead create a number of revenue streams. My first business had been generating a seven-figure income for years when I started investing cash in multifamily real estate. Once my real estate and my consulting business were churning, I went into a third business developing software to help retailers improve the customer experience.

Lastly, you may be surprised to learn that wealthy people wish you were wealthy, too. It's a mystery to them why others don't get rich. They know they aren't special and that wealth is available to anyone who wants to focus and persist. Rich people want others to be rich for two reasons: first, so you can buy their products and services, and second, because they want to hang out with other rich people. Get rich -- it's American.

An emergency fund is for those unexpected events in life that you can’t plan for: the loss of a job, an unexpected pregnancy, a faulty car transmission, and the list goes on and on. It’s not a matter of if these events will happen; it’s simply a matter of when they will happen. Learn more

Baby Step 2

Pay off all debt using the Debt Snowball

List your debts, excluding the house, in order. The smallest balance should be your number one priority. Don’t worry about interest rates unless two debts have similar payoffs. If that’s the case, then list the higher interest rate debt first. Learn more

3 to 6 months of expenses in savings

Once you complete the first two baby steps, you will have built serious momentum. But don’t start throwing all your “extra” money into investments quite yet. It’s time to build your full emergency fund. Learn more
