One of the key practices that enhances the psychology of champions is self talk and visioning

Steve Jobs was a phenomenon. He went from being an unemployed college dropout to becoming one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time.

Here are 12 Success secrets from Steve Jobs from his great quotes and wonderful speeches.

1.    Do what you love to do. Find your true passion. Make a difference. The only way to do great work is to love what you do.

2.    Be different. Think different. Better to be a pirate than to join the navy.

3.    Do your best at every job. Don’t sleep! Success generates more success so be hungry for it. Hire good people with a passion for excellence.

4.    Perform SWOT analysis. As soon as you join/start a company, make a list of strengths and weaknesses of yourself and your company on a piece of paper. Don’t hesitate to throw bad apples out of the company.

5.    Be entrepreneurial. Look for the next big thing. Find a set of ideas that need to be acted upon quickly and decisively and jump through that window. Sometimes the first step is the hardest one. Just take it. Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

6.    Start small, think big. Don’t worry about too many things at once. Take a handful of simple things to begin with, and then progress to more complex ones. Think about not just tomorrow, but the future. Put a ding in the universe.

7.    Strive to become a market leader. Own and control the primary technology in everything you do. If there’s a better technology available, use it regardless of whether or not anyone else is using it. Be the first, and make it an industry standard.

8.    People judge you by your performance, so focus on the outcome. Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren’t used to an environment where excellence is expected. Advertise. If they don’t know about it, they won’t buy your product. Pay attention to design. We made the buttons on the screen look so good you’ll want to lick them. Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.

9.    Ask for feedback from people with diverse backgrounds. Each one will tell you one useful thing. If you’re at the top of the chain, sometimes people won’t give you honest feedback because they’re afraid. In this case, disguise yourself, or get feedback from other sources. Focus on those who will use your product – listen to your customers first.

10.  Innovate. Innovation distinguishes a leader from a follower. Delegate. Let other top executives do 50% of your routine work to be able to spend 50% your time on the new stuff. Say no to 1,000 things to make sure you don’t get on the wrong track or try to do too much. Concentrate on really important creations and radical innovation. Hire people who want to make the best things in the world. You need a very product-oriented culture, even in a technology company. Lots of companies have tons of great engineers and smart people. But ultimately, there needs to be some gravitational force that pulls it all together.

11.  Learn from failures. Sometimes when you innovate, you make mistakes. It is best to admit them quickly, and get on with improving your other innovations.

12.  Learn continually. There’s always “one more thing” to learn.
Cross-pollinate ideas with others both within and outside your company. Learn from customers, competitors and partners. If you partner with someone whom you don’t like, learn to like them – praise them and benefit from them. Learn to criticize your enemies openly, but honestly.

7 LESSONS IN ABUNDANCE

1. The first key to manifesting anything mentally,socially, physically,financially,relationship-wise or spiritually is first rooted in abundance. The belief and faith that all that you really need exists in the universe, and if it were not, it would be created. So you cannot receive anything you do not believe already exists.

2. Everything freely exist and is available to you on the proportion of your own belief, you can only be limited by your own ignorance, inactivity or doubt. Everything is available and possible to the man who believes .

3. In the school of abundance, free doesn't connote cheap or worthless. everything comes at a price and when it's free someone really did pay for it. You don't pay God for oxygen, yet it's an invaluable resource any one would pay billions for. If access to oxygen were to be decided by wealth, the 90% of people in the world's rat race would have little chance of survival until they really manifest their own wealth.

4. That it is expensive, does not always connote scarcity. It usually means that is a measure of value placed on it. In this article i will refer to the analogy of the air so much. it exists freely in nature and yet it could be expensive yet it isn't scarce. Oxygen exists freely in nature,yet it could be a high bill to have someone supported on oxygen bill's monthly for at least a whole year. It freely exist yet it is invaluable, to the person on life-support,it's worth much more in value and it is now at a commercial cost.

5. The existence of abundance isn't an avenue for laziness. It doesn't mean you will do nothing. It rather means for every effort you increase the chances of attaining the desired results. Even though the air exists freely with oxygen in unlimited supply, you have to breathe it in, you will play an active part in the respiration process.

6. Abundance only comes to those who have been qualified in the good use and management of what was already supplied. The reward for a successful work is more responsibility. If you put what was already supplied to good use, more will be given to you.

7. Abundance is a state of the mind. one man sees a cup as half filled another sees it as half empty.The mind is the door way to a life of abundance. It is out of the abundance of the heart that a man speaks. Abundant thought life is a requirement for the abundant life.

LESSONS FROM MY 30-DAY BLOGGING CHALLENGE

About 30 days ago I took it on myself to begin a 30 day blogging challenge on this blog. I decided to blog and share every day , here are a couple of lessons I learnt from the experience. What more is there to do than to share the lessons and move on to another challenge- a 30 day gratitude challenge!

First, Enjoy the lessons!

1. The Universe loves consistency: Everything in nature has been designed to be consistent. We have always had nothing short of 12 calendar months. The seasons and even the elements are all consistent in their natural order. Therefore nature is consistent and it is naturally logical that anything consistent in its purpose wins, after all the deliberately consistent effort of a running brook wears out rocks.

2. Success is tied to Momentum: It is through motion that a body builds momentum. When you are already moving you have more tendency to gather speed and "SUCCESS LOVES SPEED!”. Whatever moves possesses energy, from laws of physics, kinetic energy is the energy a body has due to its motion. From the conscious effort of moving towards my goal, I can gather momentum, gain speed, generate more energy and in effect attract more success in the long run.

3. In the school of Goals, frequency trumps magnitude: Most times a little effort every day takes you closer to your goals than a huge inconsistent effort. Confucius made it clear that "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a step". So a few strokes of the brush on a regular pattern can create a masterpiece only capable of by the master stroke of a Picasso.

MENTORING 101

DAY 12 of 30

an experienced person who advises and helps somebody with less experience over a period of time.

Couple of days ago I was privileged to sit in a mentoring class with my mentor, a Leader, Entrepreneur, Man of God and Teacher of teachers. It was a class that had in attendance a group of other attendees and I had to pinch myself for not being able to attend all the previous ones.

A mentor as defined above in the Oxford dictionary is an "an experienced person who advises and helps somebody with less experience over a period of time". I believe a mentor is a shining light and guide. A proper counsel from a mentor can save you loss of unnecessary resources, this resources might be money, time or even effort.

I learnt so much I wouldn't try to rush it in one article. Some things were new while some were reminders, However, nothing is as important as carefully distilled truth and wisdom at the right time from someone who has been there.

A mentor is a teacher who involves you in your learning and development and truly he is one good teacher that cannot be substituted with a good book. Mentoring is instrumental to success in any field, even Newton had to sit on the shoulders of other giants.

I still haven't fully recovered from the amazing lessons learnt from the last session yet I look forward to the next sessions that will last for some week, when I hopefully make it into the programme with the selected few.

DAY 5 of 30

 Today’s post is a reflection of personal events and  lessons learnt over the last couple of weeks. 

Talk isn’t cheap anymore. I learnt how vital words are and much more, the information they convey. 

Information is an invaluable asset in today’s economy. A relevant piece of information can change a man’s fortune forever. If it’s relevant, refined and packaged and it’s peculiar to an audience or it most likely solves a problem, there will be an exchange of value somewhere down the line. Someone is waiting to pay for it.

Consistency is key to the achievement of any goal. I learnt that not everybody who begins a journey finishes it, if it were there would have been no failed business; every business would have been a success. God’s grace and consistency are vital in the progress of any venture.

Focus is like a laser that cuts through metal when clearly harnessed. Focus is instrumental to the pursuit of any goal. It is said that broken focus is the reason men fail, however I observed a subtle definition of focus is that the focused eye may be blind to a hundred other things at a particular instant.

You either prepare to go all the way or you do not set out at all. If you choose to climb a mountain, until you have reached the summit you aimed for, you have not achieved the success you set out to achieve.

There is no such thing as Impossible, no mountain is insurmountable, if you fail to reach the peak the first time you just may not have gotten the stamina yet.

He who fails to plan obviously plans to fail. Proper planning is the simple antidote to the disappointment brought my poor performance. If you plan it well enough, you will leave no stone unturned and you will definitely uncover the precious pebbles that are way beyond the surface.

Stay in the moment, treasure it and move confidently into the future. Discard the burdens, pay attention to the lessons from the past with the goals of the present and the assurance that God’s greatness reside in you and you will stop at nothing to  work it out.

Learning never ends....and success is only sure if you never ever give  up!

INSPIRING NEW YEAR MESSAGE By Linda Ikeji

Once again welcome to 2014!, As we all know, different countries will enter into the new year at different times due to geographical locations and difference in time zones. I have been awake watching the wonderful celebration at Times Square in New York on CNN. Also some hours ago Nigeria's popular blogger Linda Ikeji gave an inspiring message on her blog and I have decided to share it here... Enjoy and be Inspired!

Three things I want to say to you all in this new year.

1. There's absolutely nothing you can't achieve. All you need is will, drive, determination, hard work, patience, incredible courage and a lot of faith.

On my 30th birthday in 2010, I had nothing. Absolutely no dime to my name. I was so depressed. I remember laying in my bed crying and asking God why? I've been working hard since I was 17, how come 13 years later I'm still in this position? Am I not worthy of your blessings? Why are you letting people mock me, feel sorry for me, disrespect me and tell me I won't amount to nothing? I thought if I lived a decent life and did what you said, you would use me as an example, you would bless the work of my hand. You said you would carry my load. Why have You abandoned me? This was my conversation with God. I was so angry but despite my depression, I never lost faith, I never stopped working and I never stopped believing in myself. I remember telling my God, the Alpha and Omega, the I am that I am that whether You like it or not You must bless me, I am kneeling in front of you and I won't leave You alone until You bless me. Because I deserve it. Because I'm Your child, Because You promised that my struggle will end. Because You said I should ask and You will give. And You must fulfill that promised. A year later my life changed forever. God didn't give me what I prayed for, He gave me way more than I ever imagined. He stunned me. And I know He hasn't even started in my life, this is just beginning.

Now for those who are in that same situation, those who feel like God has abandoned them, those who feel like no matter how hard they try, nothing seems to be working for them, you have to understand something; God's way is not our way. Sometime He likes to take his time, to watch, to test you, to let you experience before He manifests in your life. And when He comes, oh you better be ready, because God doesn't play. And he's coming. Oh, He's coming. You ready? Please continue.

2. Please don't pay attention to what people say about you. Their mouths belong to them and they can say whatever they want. Just never let it get to you or define you. Never ever give anyone the power to make you hate yourself. Trust me, you're an amazing, incredible person and God loves you so much the way you are. He created you and He knows you're not perfect. He knows you're prone to making mistakes and He even lets you make these mistakes so you can learn from them and grow. Never ever give anyone the power to make you feel like you're not good enough, like you're not deserving enough or make you believe you won't amount to anything. They are not your God. They don't know your struggles, your pain, all the deep waters you had to cross to get to where you are today. They don't know your story, what you've had to sacrifice to be who you are today, so why do you care what they say or think? You should even be happy that they are talking about you. Have you ever seen people gather to talk about a destitute or a beggar? God's love for you is showing and that's why they gather and talk. When people start to see God's manifestation in your life, they start to hate because they don't understand it and it scares them. The only way they can feel good about themselves and where they are is to try to bring you down, but you have to be strong darling, hold your ground, don't lay down for nobody. Hold your head up high, raise your shoulders and let them know you're the boss! Oh yes you are! You don't know that yet? Oh, you better recognize. You are a child of destiny, a child of God and He is so proud of you. Those people? They are not important, they don't matter, pay them no mind. God hasn't even started with you and they are panicking, imagine when he starts? Oh, you wait. God is about to show you He's God. Once again, are you ready?

But here's one thing He doesn't like o. Having people in mind and wishing them evil. Not forgiving people who have wronged you and waiting for their downfall. God doesn't like that o. You can't have a dark heart, filled with hate and bitterness and expect God to be there. Oti o. You have to cleanse yourself of all the hate and anger if you want God to dwell in your life. If you want good in your life, you have to give good, and when I say good, I mean all the way. You can't be good in half measures. Remember what they say about 'you get what you give?' That's the way the universe works.

So in 2014, don't hold grudges, forgive people who have offended you, don't hate on people because God has a sense of humour o. The more you hate on people, the more He blesses them. You will be there counting all the reasons they are no good, while they are counting their blessings. Also God doesn't like wickedness o, so show love and kindness to your fellow human beings and watch God prove to you that He's the creator of all and the King of the universe.

Also remember that it's important to give back. God didn't bless you for you alone. You must pass the blessing to others. That way, more blessings will come to you.

3. For 2014, here's my prayer for you. You will get in 2014, a kind of miracle you've never received. You will succeed beyond your imagination. You will have a state of joy that can't be hidden. You will ask God why do you love me so much? Every miracle that God will do in your life will never be reversed in Jesus name, Amen. When the list of great men with uncommon breakthroughs are compiled this year, your name will be included in Jesus name, Amen. Your struggles have ended with 2013 in Jesus name, Amen. God will use your story to confound the world in Jesus name, Amen. You will be a testimony of God's greatness. This will be a year of breakthrough, good tidings & perfection for you and your family in Jesus name. Whenever you call on the Lord He will stop whatever He's doing and answer you. He will stand in front of you to guide you and behind you to protect you. He will keep you safe from all evil. No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper in Jesus name. No deaths will visit your family in 2014 in Jesus name, Amen

God will fulfill his promise in your life, everything you have ever prayed, asked for, He'll give to you. He will bless you beyond your wildest dreams. He will lift you, He will strengthen you, He will fight your battles for you. Every time one door closes, He will open another one for you. He will put your enemies to shame. He will change your life in 2014. Something great, miraculous, and breathtaking will happen in your life in 2014 in Jesus name.

May love, money, peace, health come in abundance in Jesus name. A testimony so big will be given to you that nobody will believe you. God will use you to bless your family, your community and the world.

2014 will be the beginning of the best years of your life in Jesus name. In 2014, God will show you that He's the King of Kings, The Giver and the Taker, The Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient. The I am that I am. The Lion of the tribe of Judah, The Holier than the Holiest, the Greatest than the greatest. The everlasting King of Glory, the Prince of Peace and the Lord of Lords. The Mighty Man in the battle and the Ancient of Days.

You said at the call of your name every knee shall bow and every tongue confess. I confess only good things for you. 2014 will be filled with testimony. He will turn your passion into a goldmine like he has done mine. He will never forsake you but bless you beyond your imagination.

May you be an inspiration to your generation. May you leave your footprints on the sands of time. And one day when this life is over, the world will know that you were here..
