Spirituality: A BILLIONAIRE'S PRAYER

Job  42:10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

God's programme cuts through generations and spans through time to eternity. However, it is His purpose to reach others through us.

One of the wonderful plans he has for us is to pray for our friends. FRIENDS here mean 'friends' it is all encompassing, from family, friends or acquaintances to colleagues and even strangers who we mustn't  leave without making friends with.

If anyone needed prayer most it was Job - a billionaire who had lost EVERYTHING (health and wealth), except his life, but God wanted him to go ahead and pray for his rich friends! He did.

When we pray for others we can never run out of God-centered prayer requests.
How many times have we tried prayer but  we could not really feel we have enough or a lot to pray about?
When you are concerned about other's needs, God start being concerned about your needs.
Remember your children or spouse can and should even be 'friends' with you.
So
Pray for your Children
Pray for your spouse
Pray for family
Pray for your friends
Pray for your staff
Pray for your country
Pray for the sick
Pray for the aged
Pray for those who need to become rich.
Pray for the nations
Pray for those who need the gospel

Pray that the will of God be done on their lives. John17:3

So also I pray for you today my friend; that according to the word of the Lord, today shall not just be a day of double but a day of 7 fold restoration of all that has been stolen .
Arise, Shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you! In Jesus name.

Remember Jesus is the way the truth and the LIGHT.. to really SHINE in life you need to have a solid, purposeful relationship with Him. GOODNEWS! You can start now. By speaking to Him saying, JESUS I know and realize you Love me and gave your self in my place. Come into my life and be my Lord and saviour. You might want to buzz me to let me know if you made this new decision or you can  join a Bible- believing local Church in your  neighborhood. Welcome to God's family!

Once again remember Job, the billionaire who lost all; but still prayed for his friends and God restored all and gave him twice as much.

Coming to Lagos.

Coming to Lagos.
I am sure  we all remember the very popular movie of the 90s Coming to America, but not many of us know how great a phenomenon Coming to Lagos was for many of us- at least, for me it was, back then as a young school boy born in Ibadan, Oyo state and brought up in Osogbo, Osun state- both states are in Nigeria, West Africa.I always looked forward to coming to Lagos during my holidays.
Those days, Lagos was held in high regard as a land of beauty and wits- I believe it's still a centre of excellence. A while ago  I thought it's crazy and adventurous- but my mum always said " wait till you get to New York"
So that was the Lagos of my childhood, one that people described with different features.
The first and most notable was also described in the words of a popular Yoruba Musician, saying on entering Lagos, " Wa pade awon ere meta, / agbagba meta, ikan ni, o gbodo rindin, ikeji ni ogbodo suegbe, iketa ni  o gbodo ya mungun l'Eko" intreprations: You will meet 3 statues on entering Lagos one says 'don't dull, the second says 'shine your eyes' and the third says never become a 'maga' in Lagos'

All that has been described both in vernacularly and colloquially sums up the fact that; Lagos seems to screams out loud a message that says BE SMART!
So in Lagos I see people running after something or something running after them;
I see people asleep in long staff buses early in the morning and then in the evenings to and from work. Yet Lagos is a beautiful place as well as some other places in Nigeria.
Whether you are 'Coming to America or " Coming to Lagos" Be Smart, Learn and be the very best God has destined you to be.
I am your billionaire coach.
Live smart!

INSPIRING STORY

I read a lovely story earlier today from someone in my network, and I have decided to share with as many people as possible...

Please enjoy:

My request is that pls read this and get your children also to read it.

One young man went to apply for a managerial position in a big company.

He passed the initial interview, and now would meet the director for the final interview.

The director discovered from his CV that the youth's academic achievements were excellent.

He asked, Did you obtain any scholarships in school...?
the youth answered "NO".

Who paid for your school fees...?
" Parents ", he replied.

"Where did they work......?"

"They worked as clothes cleaner.”

The director requested the youth to show his hands.
The youth showed a pair of hands that were smooth and perfect.

"Have you ever helped your parents wash the clothes ?"

"Never, my parents always wanted me to study and read more books.
Besides, my parents can wash clothes faster than me.

The director said, "I have a request.

When you go home today, go and clean your parents hands, and then see me tomorrow morning.

The youth felt dejected.
When he went back home, he asked his parents to let him clean their hands.
His parents felt strange, happy but with mixed feelings,
They showed their hands to their son.

The youth cleaned their hands slowly.
His tear fell as he did that.
It was the first time he noticed that his parents hands were so wrinkled, and there were so many bruises in their hands.

Some bruises were so painful that they winced when he touched it.

This was the first time the youth realized that it was this pair of hands that washed the clothes everyday to enable him to pay the school fees.

The bruises in the hands were the price that the parents had to pay for his education, his school activities and his future.

After cleaning his parents hands, the youth quietly washed all the remaining clothes for  them.

That night, parents and son talked for a very long time.

Next morning, the youth went to the director's office.

The Director noticed the tears in the youth's eyes, when he asked:

"Can you tell me what have you done and learned yesterday in your house....?"

The youth answered,
I cleaned my parents hand, and also finished cleaning all the remaining clothes'

“I now know what appreciation is.
Without my parents, I would not be who I am today...

By helping my parents, only now do I realize how difficult and tough it is to get something done on your own And I have come to appreciate the importance and value of helping one’s family.

The director said,
"This is what I am looking for in a manager.
I want to recruit a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person who knows the sufferings of others to get things done, and a person who would not put money as his only goal in life.”

“You are hired.”

A child, who has been protected and habitually given whatever he wanted, would develop an "entitlement mentality" and would always put himself first.

He would be ignorant of his parent's efforts.

If we are this kind of protective parents, are we really showing love or are we destroying our children instead...?

You can let your child live in a big house, eat a good meal,  watch on a big screen TV.

But when you are cutting grass, please let them experience it.

After a meal, let them wash their plates and bowls together with their brothers and sisters.

It is not  because you do not have money to hire a maid, but it is because you want to love them in a right way.

You want them to understand, no matter how rich their parents are, one day their hair will grow grey, same as the parent of that young person.

The most important thing is your child learns how to appreciate the effort and experience the difficulty and learns the ability to work with others to get things done...

Try to forward this story to as many people as possible...this may change somebody's life/attitude

I just did mine now

ACTION IS KEY

"Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare."-- Japanese Proverb

I remembered many years back as an undergraduate, a faculty dean once taught us Project Methodology, while he never failed to mention the need for adequate research in writing a great report, he taught us amongst other things one key lesson and it still rings through today; he said " at a point, you need to stop reading and start writing"
What he meant here is that a good thesis will not write itself, you need to move above the bundle of research or paper work to gaining traction through action.

Vision and action goes and in hand, just as the map is imperative to the journey.

Rise To Greatness and keep taking action on your dreams.

GOD IS AT WORK!

This post is inspired by a beautiful song rendered by the choir- 'God is Working'. I sang and also danced to this song while in church on Sunday.

I believe in God! I have no regrets about it; it's my faith. This is the substance that makes us conquer fate- Our Faith in God.
No matter how bold our goals; or how high the odds; God is always at work.
When we keep doing our part; we should also believe God is working behind the scenes, though we might not see him.
God is working He's still working in our lives, though we often don't know just how; but He is still working in our lives. #GodisAble
You are closer to your goals than you can ever imagine, if you keep believing and working towards them.

God is Able!

POTENTIALS: LESSONS FROM A GREAT QUOTE

LESSONS FROM A GREAT QUOTE.

“What lies behind us and what lies before
us are tiny matters compared to what lies
within us.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

I have always loved this quote from Ralph Emerson and tonight i take a few lessons from it.

1. IT'S IN YOU! : The greatness you have always sought is closer to you than you can ever imagine. The unlimited power, talents and all you really want and desire is no where else than within you. You have it in you and when it looks like it's far away, the route is just right within you. Within you lies unused and explored potentials; a vast mine of diamond lie fallow beneath your feet. IT'S IN YOU!

2. Find it . It's in you but most times you have to find it. Dr. Myles Munroe has been credited to say the richest place on earth isn't the gold mine of South Africa but rather the grave yard. This is due to the vast reserves of unexplored and unrefined potentials of men who died before even finding it. You owe God, yourself and your entire generation and even posterity the sole responsibility of finding IT and exploring it.

3. You must unlock IT. Often times our very best is trapped right within us in the cage of idleness or complacency of 'good enough' often times we shut the door of mediocrity on the unexplored genius within us. At times we find it but it's just locked up; we need to unlock the doors that shut off our best expressions and allow good give way to greatness.

4. Release it: At times the vast potentials of ideas and true greatness that lie within is can't just seem to find full expression just because we refuse to let them out. We get so afraid of making a great change; we find safety in playing by the rules and staying in the comfort bay; The greatest events of our lives are usually outside the comfort zone..Like a woman going through the pain of travailing so as to enjoy the gain of prevailing; we need to release the wealth of gifts given to us to impact our world no matter how rough it might initially seem.

5. If it's to be it's up to ME. That is the creed of everyone who is aware and driven. After all has been said and done, It still boils down to us taking action; nothing works itself except it's worked upon. To have certain experiences you just make them happen! We have just ONE single lifetime and if you are not satisfied with it so far; You want to go to work right
away because all you need to begin the process is right in you! so whether you think you can or can't you are always right. IT' S UP TO YOU!

Your billionaire-friend!
