GRATEFUL FOR A SKILL

SKILL (noun): the ability to do something that comes from training, experience, or practice

I am always a proponent of skills. My background I believe made it so. I grew up watching my Dad start up a shoe workshop where he made shoes for both sexes, despite having an accounting degree from the University; he ran the workshop before he moved on to paid employment.
So while we went to school he made us see the need for informal forms of education like getting a skill that can always pay the bill anytime, especially vocational skills.
Things have changed today, one might not always need only vocational skills but one will always need survival skills-some of which are soft skills, essential and needed for any circumstance.
Having learnt some skills all through my school times, skills ranging from a 2-week shoe mending class at LOBITO, a workshop down our old street (now I wish it were an early course in programming or computer networks),.a bit of painting, and my first computer lessons on Windows 2000 during my high school summer breaks to some holiday trainings in GSM repairs and circuits .
While I am grateful for the opportunity to have learnt these skills, I am much more grateful for a skill, the skill I learnt during the months-long strike in my final years at the University. I had teamed up with my very close friend Paul and I learnt the skills involved in Satellites and installations of it. I am grateful for this skill today; it is one of the core skills in the kits of my technological skills with high commercial values. These skill is part of the IT and other Engineering services we offer today at Emmandus Networks Nig. Ltd. (a company in which Emmandus Inspirational Network aka House of Emmandus, is the consulting arm)
Skills answer the question of “How” and the right skills can always pay the bills. I am grateful for Skills.

MY CONVOCATION AND A SOFT DAILOGUE...

Beautiful Thursday Morning! Birthdays of Friends,my Uncle and a cousin. And amazingly it's the convocation day for my first degree, B. Tech (Hons) Electrical and Electronics Engineering, more interesting is the fact that i will not be attending(You see we were long due for this for about 3 years ago and right now it's the least of our priority- I mean Class 10-THE10PLATINUM). Yeah it starts in less than 2 hours ago at my Alma-mater Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso -Oyo state in Nigeria (Yeah! That's my Uni!). now that's about 4 hours drive from Lagos, given less traffic congestion. Well it's so short-notice and among other things, I have chosen not to attend,I would have loved to be there though..., I hope that drives me to attend convocation for higher degrees God willing...Anyways Happy Convocation to me, the class of 2009/2010, 2010/2011 and 2011/2012

The past few weeks have been so wonderful.I am continuously researching new contents and traffic strategy for my blog, while also having a line up of book reviews.

Talking about book reviews, I have a goal i kicked off on www.goodreads.com to read 100 books this year and boy! I am still 24 books behind schedule. That is a personal challenge I set for 2014 just couple of months ago.
Reaching this goal will help me flex my speed reading muscles, and thereby cover much space in my personal development plan.
I also hope to review not less than 50 books this year- that's an average of one book per week.
I have a long line up of them already! I feel excited about this.

While I have all these set, i hope to share more great contents (and sure some money making tips too ;) ) in the coming days,weeks and months from now.

Also along the line my 100 video challenge still stands and I hope to have an interesting video (already recorded) uploaded on my you tube channel by weekend. You can view other past videos on www.youtube.com/user/emmandus I might share some of my assignments from an online 6 week course on Public Speaking I am taking on an online portal. The course has been interesting and well taught by a Lecturer from University of Washington.

So today while i push more on the goal for my new book,among other events I will look forward to a great opportunity meeting at my MLM business and a great session at the Toastmaster's Meeting.

A2W - What it is all about!

We have always heard about 'Minding your business', but it's not all of us that actually does that.
Today I share with you a  mail ( an A2W business)_ I have sent to couple of friends about a business I am actively involved in which I believe is for anyone who wants to embark on a journey to Financial Freedom  all who wish to play in the 5 investment grounds of the rich  i.e. Real Estate, Automated Business, Intellectual Property,Paper Investments and Multi-level Marketing (MLM)

Which?

People want to know which model the company uses to reward it's distributors,
and which of the deals to take. Here are a few insights.



a. A2W uses a Network marketing model. Please note, many of the things people call
Network Marketing either fall under two evil scams named either Ponzi Schemes
or Pyramid schemes or they have fallen into Network marketing models that are
designed for people who need targets, or people who want short term quick fix solutions
to their financial problems. Ponzi and Pyramid schemes are scams! Unilevel
model Network Marketing companies are a lot of work, offer you short term and
quick gains, but long term pains and stress. Because income is limited to
particular genealogy, you can't earn passively in perpetuity. The other plan
people are used to are the boards - forced matrix. These are exciting like
playing a game, but the nature of not being able to stay with one team defeats
team work, and makes the model usually not sustainable beyond 18 months. The
Binary model however, which is what A2W uses, is referred to as the fairest
model in the world. It's not target driven, no limit to earnings on the long
term, no gaming, highly sustainable, suitable for friends and family and
engenders long term friendships. The earnings are smaller in the early days,
but it's like building for the long-haul.



b. The second choice you need to make is which of the deals to take. Let me take the
liberty of recommending my top 3 options. If I had the opportunity to join A2W
afresh today, I certainly will use one of these options.

bronze distributorship, a formation that empowers you to earn double for same
efforts as others, and an option of products that makes you able to be
authoritative about the company and it's products. If I had the options, I'll

end for those who like the good things of life and can afford it.

o Deal 2 - A Full Privilege Pack, with product combinations that allow you to start
with a full service bouquet and a few other products. With $620 (N105,000) you
can get a Full Privilege Pack, an A2W healthy oven, an ionizer cup, a Tablet
(Customized or for Kids) and an A2W Power Bank. This is a great deal, for those
who can afford it, and would like to start out with big savings.

o Deal 3 - A good start! Simply start with a Full Privilege Pack and an A2W healthy
oven. This is $350 (N63,000)

Please note that these prices do not include the courier costs for moving the products into each city.



When?



People usually want to know when the
best time to get on board is. The answer is 5yrs ago, you might have made a lot

Wielding the Force of Truth

" And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free"- Jesus Christ (Bible, John 8:32).”

Nothing sets free like the right knowledge.
When you know more you do more. I remember once as a student in the University (and I recall I was,'t the most brilliant guy in the class... Ouch! Did I just say that? ) I sat for an exam and all I knew was that these questions were simple and familiar... But then I just couldn't attempt them all.... Because that wasn't the knowledge I needed for the course, and I ended up getting a 'C'. Not having adequate knowledge limits you and limits your performance.
When you know the truth about something, you have mastered it anytime any day. I once again did another course in the University, I had read all available modules, solved all possible questions and Gosh! The exam came and went and at last I got an excellent grade - an 'A' a big one at that.

Investing time to know the truth about anything is crucial to unleashing our innate abilities and releasing our best performance.
For instance if do not investigate and research a business opportunity, you will never know all the truth there is to know nor will you be able to avail yourself of all the benefits it offers.

The truth sets free. Have you ever wandered around in a dark room trying to find your cell phone or your pen or something and someone turned the lights on or in my part of the world- the electricity company restores power :) and then you see the room clearly and discover that what you have been looking for is just right on a stool before you. The truth is like light, it does really set free. The story of the small eaglet that got stuck with some chicks comes to mind, it continued to get stuck until it discovered the truth of its own identity and it tried to take off and alas after many failed attempt, it did fly and began to soar. When you find the light- you discover a new reality and awareness of things you never knew you could actually do.
Today I challenge you to break the hold of ignorance..
Seek light, find the truth pursue Knowlegde at all cost.

EXIT OF A GREAT MAN: MANDELA DIES AT 95

The news of Nelson Mandela's death came as a shock, but the great icon has gone to rest after all the struggles and a great life of impact, read excerpts from CNN:

Nelson Mandela, the revered statesman who emerged from prison after 27 years to lead South Africa out of decades of apartheid, has died, South African President Jacob Zuma announced late Thursday.

Mandela was 95.

"He is now resting. He is now at peace," Zuma said. "Our nation has lost its greatest son. Our people have lost a father." "What made Nelson Mandela great was precisely what made him human," the president said in his late-night address. "We saw in him what we seek in ourselves."

Mandela will have a state funeral. Zuma ordered all flags in the nation to be flown at half-staff from Friday through that funeral.

Mandela, a former president, battled health issues in recent months, including a recurring lung infection that led to numerous hospitalizations.

With advancing age and bouts of illness, Mandela retreated to a quiet life at his boyhood home in the nation's Eastern Cape Province, where he said he was most at peace.

Despite rare public appearances, he held a special place in the consciousness of the nation and the world.

A Journey To The Promised Land

Where is the promise land and what does it connote? From the popular story of the Israelites, we can find some important answers to these questions of great importance.

Israel is a covenant nation. The Israelites are a special people, long ago God of heaven and earth made a covenant with a man an elderly man from an area around Pakistan. He demanded a relationship from Him and that if he served and obey Him- The Jehovah El-Shaddai, he was not only going to have a son in His old age, but that He will become a nation ,He will be blessed and nations through him.

And so this man became the friend of the Almighty God because He believed every word even when he could have easily doubted…And yes! God did keep all his words because He is a Covenant Keeper. This man man and his wife in due time not only had a son, but He became a mighty nation- the nation of Israel. This man was Abraham.

Between each step of these promises were many events and obstacles which occurred at one time or the other

It happened that the people of Israel once sojourned in Egypt in the best part of the country called Goshen, it was almost like a Government Reserved Area (GRA) or Goshen Reserved Area if you like.

Not long after their brother Joseph who consulted for the Government of Egypt and acted in a great capacity as Prime Minister among other vital roles implementing great policies and all that. However, they were maltreated by the new government who cared less about antecedents. The special people became slaves in a strange land.

But Remember… God had a plan… He still had a covenant in place.

So he brought them out of Egypt with a mighty hand…there was great outbreak of the acts of God in Egypt… Until the Government couldn’t hold them anymore…

God raised a unique Leader called Moses and they embarked on their Journey to the promise land – a land flowing with milk and honey!

The journey was not without its challenges and diverse pains… its pains most of which were self inflicted. God tested them each step of the way… amidst fights, battles, losses and groundbreaking victories. He taught them patience, He taught them obedience, He taught them warfare, endurance and above all how to live by faith every step of the way and not lose hope…they had change in leadership, rules were made, rules were broken and of course with grave consequences, there were new births, fresh opportunities to right the past… until they were brought into the promised land. This is the land flowing with milk and honey

Let's take a cue from this historical journey, as we move towards our goals and aspiration in live. You are not alone if God is involved.

Do not give up on the journey!
