A lot of times, you just need to go ahead and have that conversation but before you do, you need to be equipped with the best way to do this objectively and tactically.
In "Difficult Conversations: How to Discuss What Matters Most" by Douglas Stone, Bruce Patton, Sheila Heen ,the authors acknowledge human tendencies to want to leave vital conversations to chance or to not bulk an eye when it comes to some difficult or sensitive conversations which can mainly be classified along blames, feelings or issues of identity.
The argument here is the need to go on to tackle these issues in a tactical way most especially if there are chances for improving the existing conditions.
The book guides the reader on the different kinds of conversations, scenarios and how best to achieve a better stance when treating each person's viewpoint in personal or professional conversations.
