It's a great day! A wonderful month! I am full of joy;inexplainable euphoria because I am so glad to be alive on this wonderful day and I am sure you are too,because only the living can praise the LORD! It's a new month! and I am glad you made it! We made it! All thanks to God for his grace, so i welcome you to the month of fruitfulness, plenty and speedy delivery of God's good bounties made available on the platform of his grace!

UNBELIEVABLE !...YET VERY TRUE !

It's so unbelievable that I have not written or rather that I haven't published a post for many weeks now ( in fact, it's exactly 4 weeks... a month!) Well, it's all for a personal project anyways...something somehow deliberate but necessary *apologetic mood*

Sincerely I cannot believe I was away for long ... though as much as I was there, I was always here even though in mind...

I cannot believe I haven't shared inspiring contents in a very long time, as uneasy and restless It was not to share...because it flows through me as a breathe and I felt like a fish out of the water.

It's unbelievable.. yet it is very true!

However, I am glad to be back!

I am a believer and I believe I am here finally and it's so great and refreshing to be back! This is because it feels like home and I mean it's really home... I am at home with you my lovely reader and audience; I am helplessly in love with you! Yes, YOU!

Nice to be back and I am glad to have you here! and I love You so dearly!

REASONS WHY PEOPLE MOVE ON IN LIFE

We have explored different aspects of this topic. Right from the prelude, to the positive lessons in positive change. So today I want us to delve into the major reasons why People decide to move on and eventually make the move and I found these the tops. There are mostly diverse motives to any specific action. People move on due to different reasons and It is one of life’s great lessons to understand why they do.

1. People move on as they grow up: I will illustrate this by a short story; There was once a worm-like creature, Laba lived its whole life on the stem of a tree in a shady garden as long as it could remember after been hatched from the egg. However, one balmy day, as sunny as every other day, Laba felt a sudden sharp pain… a feeling he had never had before, he had heard it though, and also seen it happen to his elder brother before…

In the twinkle of an eye there had been a change in colour, he could see beautiful new ‘things’ emerge from around him… ”sure ! It must be wings” he said. he flapped it, made a failed attempt, made two more failed attempts and took off! Now he found himself in the air – ‘wow!’ now he could fly, he perched on the beautiful flowers, no more was he grounded to the stem, now he could suck all it wants of the nectars of each flower.

he has heard it before, now he experienced it! Labalaba is now a BUTTERFLY! he has moved on!

2. People move on When the situation becomes unbearable: People move on when they can no longer put up with their experience of the present environment, when the situation in which they found themselves is unpalatable, unbearable and some times unfavourable, their survival instinct is geared on and they are forced to move on. They seek a better place, a favourable condition , a greener pasture…‘the promised land’

3. People Move on when there is need for expansion: This is also a corollary of the other two reasons…It stems from the other two reasons, the direct result of growth is expansion and an after -math of the inconvenience caused by limitation in space is gravitating towards a more spacious and commodious environment.

4. People Move on when they see a new horizon: Anyone who has been grounded in a place or in a school of thought and suddenly has his horizon widened and his frontiers expanded will move! Seeing a new horizon makes you push every known limit, you leave the old and conventional behind and you reach for excitingly new and endless possibilities. When people see the new horizon, they escape like a bird from the fowlers’ nest.

5. People Move on When they are Caught up: This happens when people are enraptured by a higher influence a positive flow of energy an overtone beyond a supersonic order of vibration an unexplainable acoustics that makes human reasoning fruitless something beyond the scope of the writer or the writing… :)

WE HAVE MOVED ON FROM HERE: LESSONS IN POSITIVE CHANGE

1. Moving on means different things to different people: I always believe we all view life through a prism and when we look at the same thing we can view them from different perspectives, hence the difference in conclusions drawn. With this in mind, we understand that moving on will always mean different things to different people; to someone it might mean moving to another career path, a new income bracket while to some other people it might mean a geographical relocation or change in location. However, for the sake of our discussion, we will look at ‘Moving on’ from the general context of positive change of level or position as the case may be.

2. People move on in life: A Popular Yoruba Proverb says “20 children cannot play for 20 years” ( Yoruba is the language of the Yoruba tribe in Western Nigeria). No matter the level of familiarity, or the closeness you have had with people, no matter where we are now, no matter the moments we have shared , People move on in life and the earlier we learn to understand that, the easier and better for us in business, career or our relationships.

3. Problems happen when people fail to move on: As necessary and evident as it is that people move on in life, many still fail to understand or see the need to move. These set of people refuse to see the future, neither do they plan for it, they fall in love with the status quo and never move or make the switch. People who do this are lost in the present and as such they are caught unawares.

4. Know when to move: “Life is in stages; men in sizes” Timing is so essential to all things in life. There is time for us to make the new career change or to stay glue to the system and the game plan. Whether it's in career, business or in a relationship, just as we need to know when to stay we should know the time to leave all behind and move on.

5. Creating a flight plan or a fight plan : Since Moving on becomes a candidly true fact at one point or the other in our lives, then, having a plan is therefore strategic to the success of the change. A strategy is clear action plan on the next move or line of action; it is our clear map on the journey at hand. So it is only wise to embark on a journey with a detailed map, as only a fool embarks on a journey without a map or clear directions. While moving on you need to know when you are fighting and when you need to make a flight. Whatever you plan to do, you need a plan to do that!

WE HAVE MOVED ON FROM HERE: PRELUDE

It was a rainy Saturday morning. I got out of bed after a wonderful night rest, said my prayers, and made a trip to the bathroom and I moved on to the lounge to see what else is wrong with the world. I had enough of the Pakistani election violence and the unrest in Syria so I flipped through my favourite channels- till at last I got to Bloomberg and I was hooked for a while on two series of Bloomberg Game changers…And realising how hungry I was I quickly reached for breakfast- a lovely one. Sitting behind the laptop at a good distance from the tube. I was soon amazed by how time flew and I quickly dashed out of the house and embarked on a trip to Nigeria’s Silicon Valley to tick off my schedule for the day.

I quickly set about my appointments for the day, utilizing the time left by the rain that held me home bound for most part of the day and finally I decided to relax in the ambience of a commodious fast food shop.

It took no time to find me a nice spot-from where I could have for myself a good view of all that enters and leaves... So I was chilling…/

I am sure many people going in and out must have actually wondered at this ‘lost guy’ with a book opened in front of him and a half filled bottle of drink by the side, sitting in there for minutes…but as I sat in that ‘perfect corner’ in a pensive mood, I had like a billion thoughts crossing my mind, I took another glance at the busy street outside the building and on a closed door, on the top of a tall office building I noticed a sign showing ‘ WE HAVE MOVED ON FROM HERE’ and the idea for this article struck me.. I suddenly saw more to that line I found some life lessons hiding behind the words and I know that I really have to write this…
