Who is in Your Corner?
It is indeed true that the books you read and the people you hang out with are major game changers on your journey to greatness.
I began my journey to sharing value through speaking and blogging over 7 years ago from my University campus, but I always knew there was always something more I could do to up my game...
How I met Emeka Nobis
I was attending a seminar by Samson Olatunde , a foremost internet marketer, lifecoach and business strategist at Renaissance Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos over a year ago; While he was speaking on sharing value and income, he mentioned Emeka's name as someone who shares value on social media and BBM and gets paid for it.
I took note and I went ahead to research and connect with Emeka on social media.
We engaged.
I went ahead to glean so much value from his wall, blog and his free ebooks, I bought one of his books and also promoted the link on my wall for friends who indicated interest.
I had become a true follower.

My Notes from Youth Governance Dialogue...

My Notes from Youth Governance Dialogue...
I will share briefly my notes at Youth Governance Dialogue which held at the Presidential Conference Hall, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) on ,Sunday 28 May,2017.
It was a lovely day and what seemed like a long day had leaders, members of civic organizations, politicians and youths of all ages who come from all over the country to attend this epoch making event.
The theme of the event was 'Preparing the Successor Generation for effective participation in Governance'.
Arrival, tour around the OOPL and registration commenced in batches from 9am till 12pm, while from 12pm the programme proper started with guests and invited dignitaries seated in the conference hall.
The highlights of the forum was a call for youth participation in governance at every level.
The Event chairman HE Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, The Executive Governor of Sokoto State speaking on the theme, points out the need to prepare our young people for leadership and that "You cannot be a success without a successor"
He reiterated his stance during the "Question and Answer" session by charging Youths to believe in themselves.
The Lead speaker, Osita Chidoka OFR (Ike Obosi) former Minister of Aviation and former FRSC boss) delivering a keynote on the topic "Guiding political philosophy for a Democratic Nigeria started with a personal story reflecting a conflict of ideologies between two factions within the same political parties.
He summed up his talk with the fact that "The philosophies governing Nigeria is not in political parties but in individuals"
The panel discussion moderated by Dr Tunji Olaopa , featuring Rt. Hon Luke Onofiok,Speaker Akwa-Ibom House of Assembly who shared the need for Youth to get involved and begin to add value to their immediate communities.
Ms Fatima kyari Mohammed, special adviser to ECOWAS commission was another panelist who emphasised on the fact that youth can get involved by volunteering and providing solutions to personal issues in their neighborhood.
The third panelist, Dr Eghosa Imasuen, Medical Doctor, Writer and Publisher
also answered a couple of questions from the audience while also noting that youths have to " know your truth, own your truth and live your truth"
The convener and former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR took the short mentorship session tagged "enhancing youth participation in politics" while answering a couple of questions noted "In our time, we had opportunities but no facilities, in your time you have facilities but no opportunities "
He further shared the need to take chances, pay the price of success and be consistent.
I couldn't take many pictures with the Speakers but I was able to hand most of them a copy of my new book Bright Ideas.
The event was the first of its kind and first of many more to come.

The book of wisdom is replete with much wisdom. I have always had the habit of reading a chapter per day. This is a habit I am trying to revive again.
