Spirituality Post: Somebody’s Rooting for You

Today’s Scripture
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”
(Hebrews 12:1, NIV)

Somebody’s Rooting for You
I grew up playing sports, and I’ve experienced the difference it makes to have somebody in the stands pulling for you. When you know they’re watching you, you hear them calling your name, you see their hands up in the air; it does something on the inside. It causes you to jump a little higher and run a little faster. You’ve got a greater determination because you know somebody is rooting for you.
Today, you have a great multitude in heaven cheering you on! They’re saying, “You can do it! You’re a winner! You are well able, strong and equipped. No weapon formed against you shall prosper!”
No matter what difficulty you may be facing, you always have the home field advantage. You are always surrounded by the voice of victory. Let that sink down deep into your heart today. Let it build confidence in you and give you the strength you need to keep moving forward into the abundant, victorious life He has prepared for you!
A Prayer for Today
“Father God, open the eyes of my heart. Help me to see the grand stands of heaven cheering me on. Thank You for instilling confidence, power and grace in me so that I can run my race and finish strong in Jesus’ name! Amen.”

LESSONS FROM A MISSING TICKET

Lessons from a missing ticket.
I have learnt to always keep my tickets till the destination. It happened that I learnt my lessons some years ago while on-board the old and regular BRT (Lagos, city) bus, the Ticketer approached me as we got to a new station and all I could to do was plead because I unsuspectingly had thrown away my ticket... At that time, I surely was just like anyone who got on-board for free, tagging along without  any tickets. My only excuse-I threw away my ticket just before I got to the destination!
So recently, especially as I wrote this on-board one of the fanciful new commercial blue buses in Lagos- those new buses that are known for their cool Air-conditioning and the colorful lights, I sat on-board and thought on different things from work, to career and then politics and Nigeria's transportation system, why we should have more of these on our roads against the old dirty yellow buses… The Ticketer approached from the distance doing a final check...my mind flashed between the thoughts of what to say if I couldn't find my ticket and I was also blaming myself for not learning my lessons enough to have thrown away the ticket, this time, the last thing I remembered about my ticket was ruffling it as I got it...I set down the book I was reading , it was something on Personal Finance: How To Make Your First Million by Albert O. Aina, a turn off I guess for some folks but I have learnt to go for anything on the subjects of business, Wealth and Success...After all , I wasn’t taught a class  in any of these in the  wonderful 5 years I studied Engineering  at the University… nobody was taught much, if at all about money  within the four walls of the University while I was there, even recently, the curriculum hasn't changed yet,...
I woke up from reading ,dreaming and thinking and reached into my pocket as the Ticketer stopped in my front waiting for my bus ticket..
And there in my wallet was the crinkled  ticket  which showed that I paid my fare and I should be allowed to the destination.
I sat back and then I felt the need to share, to blog this and take this as a lesson in success, goal setting and life's journey.
We are constantly on a journey in life and no matter our destination-  success, wealth, fame or true greatness,  there is always a ticket that permits our thoroughfare..
It is easy to lose the ticket, to lose,  roughen, ruffle it or throw it away especially if it is a long trip and believe me, it usually is a long journey to anything worthwhile , even Nelson Mandela’s  book title describes it as  a Long Walk To Freedom..
No matter where you are heading, keep your dreams. Your Dream is your ticket anywhere you would rather be, and like your  ticket, it validates your reasons to be on-board the bus heading to your  great  destination and with God's grace, we will arrive safely.

Enjoy your Journey to Greatness!

#WALKINGWITHJESUS...INTRO..DEFINE YOUR RELATIONSHIP

#WALKINGWITHJESUS...INTRO..

Define Your Relationship...
Jesus came to the world and made a great mark-He fulfilled God's will, saving and redeeming mankind back to himself,
He didn't do it alone...He needed people to reach people. He believed in people yet he never took for granted the weaknesses and the tendencies of those  with whom he usually came in contact . Hence, he defined his relationships, this was clearly seen in the levels and the nature of the relationship he maintained.

Jesus and the World...
Jesus came for the world, this was the main definition of his mission statement. he was born in the middle east in Israel growing up in  Nazareth and isolated village in His time but at 2014 had a total population of over 74,000 and currently the  capital and the largest city in the Northern District of Israel..Jesus understood how God so much loved the world to send His only son to the world-hence hew knew the scope of his mission was to all the world from Jericho to Jerusalem, from Judea to Jalingo, from Lagos to Los angeles even beyond the ends of Quebec into Qatar.  So he went anywhere he could starting from Israel; but to reach everywhere, he had a succession plan to enable him reach everywhere through his disciples even after his death and resurrection. Jesus wants to turn and redeem the whole  world back to God.

Jesus and the Seventy...
To reach the world, Jesus had to begin from a strategic point. A prototype of the entire world, he chose 70. Jesus strategically chose and sent his emissaries bearing his power and anointing into all cities even before he himself went there. These were the seventy , he paired them up in twos called, empowered and sent them to liberate every one they come across while spreading the vital message of the Kingdom.

Jesus and the Twelve
This is what we  can easily call the Jesus company. These are the ones who not only have met with Jesus, they have wined and dined with Him. They have seen Jesus strong and minister with power, they have seen Him relax and sleep while tired and resting from fatigue, they have seen him eat, drink, pray and they have learnt his ways. These were called to not only to be sent alone, they were to be with Him . Jesus understood man to the very thoughts and knew quite well that a  traitor would come from amongst them

Jesus and the Three
As much as Jesus ministered, taught by example and discipled the 12 life-to-life, He would still bring to the place of prayer the three, there is a realm of glory, dedication and sacrifice not meant for the multitude, seventy or the 12 cannot all enter into, perhaps they all might not be ready for it at once, but for whatever reason, the Master knew all things well necessary to the task at hand and so he will bring only the 3 at this point

Jesus and the Father
Jesus had the multitude always seeking him yet he craved for the place of solitude. This was the secret place, where he will commune with the Father, it is not a place for the multitude, the seventy or the twelve and not even the three or John the beloved. It is a place of union and close fellowship with the Father.  This is the greatest point where God is calling everyone to in our personal walk with Him and this where Jesus wants to bring us to in life...

Every individual, institution or organization will always need to define roles and levels of relationship every time.

Let's keep walking with Jesus, it's an adventure of a life-time.

Universal Laws : The Law of Resonance

It is not a new fact that the whole of our world is governed by certain laws and principles. These facts hold true anywhere and every time and to their effects, there is no doubt. One common law is the law of Karma or more closely called the law of sowing and reaping which vividly explains that what you plant and sow as a seed comes back to you in bountiful measures at an harvest time, and the law of cause and effect in physics reiterates this.

‘To every action; there is equal and opposite reaction. One other law of the Universe which is always at work whether we are observant or not is the law of resonance. From Physical science, we learn that a body which moves or vibrates at a frequency can make other bodies vibrate along with it once they strike a particular common frequency i.e. the natural frequency of the other bodies. So the law of resonance in the Universe establishes that everybody in the world vibrates at a particular frequency, and so a vibrating body can equally make others vibrate along in a similar pattern if they have the same natural frequency.
This could be the basis for sayings such sayings as ‘birds of a feather flock together’ , an indirect expression of this can be seen in an exercise such as placing a cube of sugar in a corner of the room and in matters of seconds or minutes it is soon located by ants who had not been in site initially. The rhythmic heartbeat of man is always at a frequency and as such, it radiates energy, so it is when you enter a room charged up with an emotion you could sense it, right there. This is the reason why an atmosphere of mirth or gladness will be totally different from that of strife and sadness. Why is it that you enter some environments or you stay around some people and your creativity and productivity is amplified to a higher level by greater proportions, And whereas you stay with some other people and the result is opposite? All these are the direct effect of the law of resonance. So everything and everyone could be said to vibrate along with other bodies with which they share the same natural frequency, in other words 'like attracts like'.You may like to call it the law of attraction. Enter the right environment today, locate the right people instrumental to your goals and success!

Till a later date… You will Succeed!
