SILENT LESSONS OF LIFE

One day, an elderly man scolded his young son. He had mistakenly hit a young girl with his car while trying to scare her into crossing the road in a hurry. “I never knew it was going to turn out that way, I was only trying to make her run and the brake failed.” The distraught youth explained. His father replied, “You should have considered the consequences of your actions before carrying them out. Even if the brakes had not failed, what if she had fallen down while trying to cross the road? Is that not still an accident?”

Experience is the best teacher. In so many ways, life presents us with occasions for learning. These occasions, no matter how momentary, contain nuggets of wisdom which could only be unravelled by the discerning mind

.

There is always something to learn from every experience whether you are sensitive to it or not. From the short illustration above we can infer that in life, your actions will be based on your decision, which is always the outcome of your sense of judgement and thought evaluation. It is obvious that one needs to think in multiple ways.

Tapping into the subtle lessons from our experiences calls for a high degree of sensitivity and observation, which can only be developed by cultivating the art of personal reflection. For every lesson you fail to imbibe, life has a way of making you pay for your ignorance.

The silent lessons in life need not come from your own experiences alone, but they are rife in all the daily occurrences around us. All we need would be a bit of sensitivity to the situation around us.

Go and achieve greatness!

THE KING IS RISEN!

They beat Him with many stripes. Preferring a robber to the Prince of Peace, they condemned Him to death… and just when they thought it was over.. They had sealed his tomb; it was heavily guarded by the best security agency the government could afford. Alas! ‘Maktub!’ -It is written, and so it came to pass, they came to look for ‘the Living among the dead’ but just as he had said, on the third day, the Son of man rose again. He conquered sin and death and He is alive forevermore! Easter is here, the joyful season when all Christians around the world celebrate the crucifixion, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Easter is different from all other festivities in all uniqueness. Apart from the fact that it comes once in a year, it’s not the celebration of the birth of the greatest legend of greatness alone, much more than that, it celebrates the sacred phenomenon of resurrection on which the Christian faith is based. It is the resurrection of The King! The central theme of Easter borders on the Person of Jesus Christ, as He is the Reason for the Season. So amidst the felicitations of this season, it is of paramount importance that His nature of selfless love and great sacrifice for the redemption of mankind get our main focus. This should form the core of our interpersonal relationships and lives from now. As we merry and rejoice together, I wish you all a Happy and Joyful Easter celebration .May the love of Jesus grow and wax stronger in us. Let glasses clink!

The world is a big place,every time and every day we always have a whole lot of things to do within a specified time ,many people fall into the pressure of leaving things jumbled up and unattended to .Most times we wish we could plan things better than we have always done. This can affect many areas of our lives right from our desktops, common room, to finances, business or career. So how can we get things more organized right from the common room to the workplace? A very vital thing you will learn to do is to start organizing your life every day. Since the subject of discussion may span through different issues, a good way to start is to recognize the exact area of your life you need to address, this may be from arranging the details of your daily or weekly schedule to arranging books, objects and other items in your surroundings, you will need to prioritize and arrange tasks in order of importance. Many people fail to reach their set goals due to poor organizational skills, when you have any area of your life in disarray it saps you of productive time and energy, it makes you lose focus and eventually reduces your productivity by a very long margin. WORK ON YOUR THOUGHTS

Thoughts are very powerful. my main aim is not to write an article about the power of thoughts, of course, but to release my thoughts into written words, as it does us much good. I really feel at best doing so, and I believe you also expect and enjoy it. But then we all have thoughts, memories, ideas which are of varying degrees and some form of energy, which must vent out in a way or the other . Some thoughts are mixed with emotions and are best expressed as notes and melodious sounds, soothing words while some are best expressed as powerful words. Most times we might prefer to release them as written words which stirs up one reaction or the other. Your thoughts should not be held back ,they are a form of energy within you and as such should be well expressed, It is well established that in all of the universe, ‘energy can not be created nor destroyed, but can be transformed from one form to another’. At times we have within us positive emotions of love, hope, serenity and great desires and the best way for me us to achieve the greater good is to express them in a profound way. We are God’s thoughts His great ideas and a combination of His very energy and nature and as such He believes so much in us and we were never an accident. God thought about us ,spoke about His words and He went to work with His thoughts, to have a unique result-You and I! Your thoughts are unique; work on them. Great thoughts positively worked on and carefully expressed, over the past centuries have been the basis for great speeches, inventions revolutions and civilizations. Thoughts have been expressed in more impacting ways in music, as words, great works of poetry, beautiful paintings and art master piece. Your thoughts are powerful; express them. Work on your thoughts, never neglect the thoughts within you, they could metamorphose into great ideas ,words, a great cause or a great product .At best make sure they are as positive as they possibly can and then they can have the greatest effect on You, Africa and the world at large.

MY THOUGHTS

I am glad to write and most happy you’re reading, It’s been a while, really, yet these thoughts cannot be held back ,they are a form of energy within me and I am so sure in all of the universe ‘energy can not be created nor destroyed, but can be transformed from one form to another’. I have within me these positive emotions of love, hope, serenity and great desires and the best way for me is to get it out here.

Great friends, put your feet into the waters, yeah! It might be cold, It’s rarely warm but you have to wade in the water and chart on another cause. For me,the month of May has been great and wonderful with work and a bit of fun, but I still had enough time to do some leisure reading, I always hope to share my monthly reading with you(for April John gray's "Men are from Mars..." Bishp.Oyedepo's" The Winning Wisdom,Fola Oyediran's "Degree is never enough" Joel Osteen's "Becoming a better You"& E.W Kenyon's "The two Kinds of LIFE" have all been a good read!) and for last month- May: Laws of wealth creation by Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo was wonderful, Asha Tyson’s How I Retired at 26 was great, Kenneth Copeland’s Laws of Prosperity dazzled me and Richard Branson’s Losing My Virginity was revealing and of course the BIBLE is always my sure Manual !
I wish you all of God’s best this month and I hope to share my thought s as much as I can.
