It is 16:12 in Ibadan, it is a beautiful sunny day on 21st August, 2024
Ibadan has this serene atmosphere with less bustling of Lagos you will also notice that serene atmosphere when you drive into Osun state as well from Gbongan-Odemu through Ede-Akoda into Osogbo.
A wonderful calm that makes it suit a wonderful day of a vacation.
I am at the train station at Omi Adio Ibadan..
It has been 3 wonderful days making visits and functions with family and friends across, Ede, Osogbo and Ibadan.
I have a ticket booked for me earlier this morning with departure time of 16:17
We are all seated at the departure lounge waiting to board the train from here to Ebutte-Metta Station.
Many people will alight at different stops along the way.
The final bus stop is Ebutte Metta. While I will make my stop before then, this ticket existing in PDF form on my phone covers my fare all the way.
I will not make a video of this trip, I did that on my first ride on my YouTube. This is my second time on this route
I can hear some sounds from the distance....and people moving into a file..
One of the highlights of every trip or commuting time for me is the free time it affords me to read and to think.
I usually do nonfiction but I am rediscovering now and again that fiction has it's alluring place.
I found, read and skimmed this wonderful novel during the weekend. Standing in the Shadows by Shannon McKenna is 26 chapters of intereting story of romance,crime and detectives, all with a lovely thrill to it.
It was a lighter reading while taking a short break from Unlimited Power by Tony Robbins, that I was reading during the trip.

We had an amazing 3 days away visiting my parents... I savored each moment that I probably didn't pay much attention to pictures or social media 😀
It was Daniel's first time visiting his Granny's in Osogbo.
He was excited seeing and playing with the dogs too.
It was a great time also visiting my friend Paul and watching our new families reuniting
The fresh air, the food, vegetation were all great.
The billboards for different political parties marked the landscape of the city, two major parties I know concluded primaries last week all in readiness for gubernatorial election...
Thank God for journey mercy...
Good bye Osogbo and see you soon.
I got a lovely night rest in preparation for work today, I look forward to being in church next week Sunday.

It's a great day as always at EMMANDUS NETWORKS! I also believe it is a great day for you too. It's nice to be back after 7 days of silence on this blogging. I have gone virtually 'offline' and away. Sometimes you need got to get away to have a come-back.It wasn't easy not to blog after over 70days of blogging none stop, at times I felt out of place not blogging but I did a bit of writing and more of studying, conversations and observations especially with my self. In between, I did go on a short trip with more observation and reflection.
Within my 7 days away, I felt a loss of connection to my clan, my community and I am so glad to be back.I will continue from where I stopped and will continue on the lesson series daily. I have started to work more on my projects, my first book, my goals of 100 youtube videos, my 100 podcasts
