DESCRIBING INSPIRATION

I have for years been thinking about doing something about this topic. The subject of Inspiration and Motivation. I will not proceed to think about how to start, because my inspiration has gotten a better part of me. I sit at table studying and in a sizzzle hall trying to work on my MLM goals for the week (Yeah, among other things, I am a Networker, a great one indeed, I picture myself as one), then I see my cursor ‘dancing’ and so I finally hit the keys- sounds like hitting the road huh? I decided to write about the subject of inspiration.

The definition of inspiration will be delayed for a later time, but I will dwell on the description today. Many people, in the creative part of life may be in the arts of painting, writing, drama, or music, have laid claims to different themes or things as an inspiration as a catalyst for improved performance at what they do.
So I on this terms I define inspiration form a personal stand point. My Inspiration to write or to speak, or to act on a problem with view to solution.
The whiteness of a blank page or white paper, the wonderful scent of a flowery garden, the lush green grass of a wonderful garden. The terrific sound and sight of a waterfall; the unrhythmic dance of the fountain pen on pages of a book, the chirpings of birds, sounds of the crickets at night these to me can be very inspiring.

Inspiration is watching the rain fall from behind a glass screen or shield. It is depicted in watching seedlings germinate or a crawling child make its first steps. The rigorous but exciting Experience of reaching the peak of a mountain top and standing at the summit is inspirational!

Inspiration is watching two happy couples in their 80’s hold hands and taking a walk down the natural park.

Inspiration is watching a team of ants lift a crumb of cake that doubles their collective mass.

Inspiration is listening to the sonorous voice of a damsel making the best music without any instruments. Inspiration is travelling over the country lands of Africa and seeing beautiful sights of trees of rails and good roads.
Inspiration is of course looking at the blinking cursor on a blank page and knowing it could be woven into thoughts and ideas that could travel far beyond you and break the boundaries of culture, religion, race and even class.
Inspiration is looking up at the deep blue sky with its silvery edges and knowing that these were all created by the greatest Genius and Omnipotent God- The Almighty and knowing that He alone is the greatest source of Inspiration.

How do you describe or define inspiration? I enjoy reading comments and feed backs from you.

Never lose your Inspiration!

SUNDAY SIZZLE: The Peculiar Sunday

What does going to church mean to you?
There are so many things that are the highlights of a peculiar or memorable Sunday service, one  of it could be what makes a Sunday service significant, this may differ  for any attendant or church goer, and perhaps it might be the same for all believers.
A regular church service might start with an opening prayer, most, but not all churches start with Sunday school as the first Session after the workers' or ministers' meeting. I speak based on a similar pattern I have observed from  churches I  attended over the years  and even as  also a member of  some interdenominational bodies.
So the order most churches follow is that of Prayer,Praise and Worship,Prayer Session (in some cases this might be brief on Sundays), Choir ministrations, perhaps some drama ministrations, Message time, Announcement and Benediction/Grace.

I believe there is no one-size -fits all approach to illustrating a regular church programme, every church always has a mix of some or all of these in different proportions, and what matters most is that. God's presence is felt, souls are saved, people are blessed in all respect. This is my picture of a regular church programme but Still there is something much more about every Sunday service undescribable in all its totality.
There is so much love, the joy and the peculiar atmosphere that must be of a supernatural dimension that makes even the physical ambience and exraordinary one.

Being  in church on Sunday as the LORD commands has different impacts on us all, I will like to know how it impacts you personally.

Be blessed

LIVING HEALTHY

I am not a Doctor neither am I a health practitioner, but tonight I will attempt to attempt to give some health tips from my personal perspective and from common but easily forgotten  knowledge. I believe proper adherence to these tips will keep us all away from the Doctor for a long time.

1. Eat Healthy: Most times due to the kinds of work  we do or the conditions we find ourselves we tend to eat so much of fast food, most of which are junks. We throw caution to the wind and stuff ourselves with stuffs that saps us our much required energy and these foods' in turn add nothing to us as far as nutrition and vitality are concerned.
Remember the age long saying- " You are what you eat".
2. Drink a lot of water: I understand that our entire body is made up of over 70 percent of water, so obviously the body  needs good supply of water to function normally. A common notion is that recommended minimum daily healthy water intake is between 2 to 3 litres of water or 8 glass cups of water however this may vary due to geographical areas and climatic differences. However, we always need regular intake of water to compensate for  loss of water from normal physiological processes like perspiration, respiration and urination. Water itself is found in most of the world's best therapy also an important part of the best weight loss measures. So the idea is to take water when you feel like or don't feel like taking it.
3. Exercise:  Exercising the body like we all know helps the body's physiological processes and it in turn  helps our organs function normally. We are also aware that exercising the body helps build and tone our muscles. Hence part of the many benefits of exercise is  that it helps in burning stored fats in weight control, it also helps digestion, strengthens the heart and of course helps mental development . For exercise to be efficient, a  REGULAR ROUTINE is necessary.
4. Pay attention to proper hygiene: Paying attention to proper hygiene will go along way to help you prevent a wide range of diseases or infections. For  instance  certain infections like cough, cold or the flu are usually contacted through touch or contact with infected persons and improper hygiene practices are the chief causes of being infected. So you need to think about how many times you have eaten snack in public with the same hands used in shaking someone who has just touched who -knows-what. Regular washing of hands with soap and water before meal and after every outing is a very good and safe practice.
5. Eat Good Rations of Fruits and Vegetables:  I once saw a campaign by the UK Health Society, tagged 'Eat 5- a- day' , it was to emphasize the need to eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables every day.My take is no matter how many times you do, You should cultivate the habits of eating good ration of both fruts and vegetables regularly.
I  believe these tips are basic keys to healthy living .
Obviously there a whole lot of health tips and I will happy if you can share more of them with us here in the comment section.

Stay Healthy, stay wealthy!

TAKE THE BACK OF THE CROWD

Today’s piece is an important coaching session. As a Life-Coach, I have been opportuned to meet and in other cases listen or read the works of great Life-Coaches, Peak Performance Coaches, and Financial/Productivity Coach of our time and in some cases too Sports and Fitness Coaches. I personally think the greatest privilege I have is to be mentored by the greatest Coach of all time or of all the world, He is the Holy Spirit. He is the Spirit of God and I call him the greatest coach in the world, I regard Him as my Senior Partner my Teacher or Counselor, just in consonance with The Book He wrote millenniums ago- The BIBLE.
One important lesson I learnt from my greatest Coach,is Taking the Back of the crowd!  This is an important lesson I will share with any client above all others, be it in Business, Games of Tennis, Golf, on the race track or even in fitness and Life! It does not connote hoodwinking or doing things through the back door. But as I will describe, it pays attention to Focus and the value of Preparation in boosting performance, Productivity or Results achieved.
Allow me to illustrate with a field or stadium full of crowd and spectators waiting to watch a match, race or performance. But a prepared Coach asks the athlete to run the race of his life all behind the crowd, round the tracks just by the back of the watching spectators. The race usually is run and even won before the crowd- the spectators, but the preparation is done without them. I mean at the back of the crowd.

Take the back of the crowd when you can, it is a great lesson in preparation for the race and requirement for a winning race before the crowd. The battle field isn’t the perfect place for training a soldier. Preparation is a vital trait for super-achievers.
Talk about the high performers of any field, Tiger wood, Husain Bolts, Michael Jordan, Lionel Messi, Chritiano Ronaldo, Mozart, Picasso, Bill Gates, Richard Branson etc.   They learnt to master their game by preparation and focus away from the sights and sounds of the cheering crowd or marketplace as the case may be. They first of all took the back of the crowd. They performed for the crowd that wasn’t there, they served their gifts, their talents and ran their race in the empty fields, gym or stadium or studio without accolades from anyone.
This people built their inner motivation, and some still do, they treasured every moment without the crowd in view, like it really mattered and yes! It really does! And Taking the Back of the crowd, prepared them for Peak performance and great feat any given time, even in front of the not so cheering crowd! Never stop practicing your art.

Step up to Greatness!

MONDAY DIARY: RESTING

It’s a wonderful Monday morning, few hours before mid-day, I am off from work and so I decided to rest today from the previously busy week –busy but exciting , I am grateful to God.
I discover it takes extra work to bring myself to rest. I am by nature calm but full of energy, agility, a sense of adventure to see things and explore.

The plan was to rest. But then I was moving around the house seeing if everything was in order, no thanks to PHCN (Power holding Company of Nigeria) I could have been watching TV or still be hitting away at the keys of my Laptop. But all gadgets powered off with only a phone with only voice calls capability. So I decided to just chill in the garden and enjoy the cool breeze and the wonderful shade of green. I love nicely kept gardens with flowers, the sight and sound of waterfalls.

And as I just lay there on the lawn I enjoyed every bit of it. This is real rest. I listened to the voice of silence constantly being intruded by noise of all forms from far and near. The continuous hammering of nails by the distant carpenter, who never stops nailing who-knows-what. Sounds of passing auto mobile, some distant sounds of a generator struggling to work for its owner.
So I thought about writing a new article on health, since I couldn’t finish up the one on my mobile device. So with my favourite Shang hang ® fountain pen, I started wetting the innocent white page again with black ink- I haven’t ‘written ‘ an article this way in a long while- Thank God for mobile phones, Laptops and perhaps sooner still probably a Tablet or Phablet.
So Laying on the lawn I discovered made me more appreciative of nature. I noticed a miniature ecosystem at this level. The life of insects finding their way across the grass, colourful millipedes climbing a grass stalk ,then the blossoming apple trees dotted by the young pink fruits and above all the cool breeze with the gently sunshine smiling gently out of the plain skies, and of course the rustling sounds of leaves on nearby trees dancing with the wind.

I always love to watch my pen dance again on the blank white field. I will probably end this by completing a Spiritual/Gospel  book I was reading or read an entirely new romance novel or I  better still just close my eyes and imagine myself to be on vacation on an exotic beach in Miami, Florida or that I am relaxing on some lush green grass on some islands in Seychelles or better still I am having a great time in Cancun – Mexico or at the Bahamas.
Whatever It is, I am at rest.

Emmanuel Ayeni

DADDY G.O. AT 72

Sunday 2nd of March was the 72nd Birthday of my Father in the Lord Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye. I still want to wish him more fruitful years ahead, and I pray that He will continue to wax stronger for the Lord and continuously be a blessing to all nations for years to come in good health, wealth and more landmark success in ministry and family in Jesus' name. (Amen)

Pastor E.A Adeboye was born on the 2nd of March, 1942 in Ifewara Osun state in Western Nigeria. He is a Prophet, a christian elder statesman and a spiritual Father to many.

I share a summary of his profile has stated on Wikipedia

"Enoch Adejare Adeboye is a Nigerian pastor and the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG)

Pastor Adeboye has a PhD in applied mathematics from the University of Lagos, and worked as a lecturer in mathematics at the universities of Lagos and Ilorin; After joining the RCCG, he began working to translate the sermons of its then Pastor and founder, Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, from Yoruba into English.

In 1981 Adeboye was appointed General Overseer of the church, taking over from Papa Akindayomi, who had died the previous year. For three years he filled the role part-time, still lecturing at Ilorin, until giving up his university position to preach full-time.

The church, which was not well known before Adeboye took charge, now claims branches in over a hundred countries, including more than 14,000 in Nigeria. Adeboye has stated that his aim is to put a church within five minutes of every person on Earth. He is the national president of RCF (an interdenominational fellowship in all the campuses in Nigeria). In 2008, Newsweek magazine named Adeboye one of the fifty most powerful people in the world. He is married to Foluke Adeboye, also a pastor, with whom he has children."

That is also a vital reason why the March Edition of the RCCG Holy Ghost Service(HGS) is always tagged 'a Special HGS' (It holds this month from 6th -8th of march, 2014) The Venue is KM 46, Lagos-Ibadan Express way -Nigeria

Happy Birthday to Daddy G.O.

Shalom!

Emmanuel Ayeni
